" It's not as simple as you think, Mr. Rajput"

I poured myself a cup of coffee, leaned against the counter, and took a leisurely sip before responding, "I lack at doing simple things, Mr. Anand."

"Stop with your bullshit." Anand, my business partner, spat. "This deal should be handed over to someone who is experienced and not to the one who was just promoted to the CEO position two years ago." He let out to the chairman AKA my father while I stood there, witnessing the entertaining drama. I have to say that my co-workers have improved a lot in creating menace. It has now become quite fun.

I checked my Nautilus 40MM watch before saying, "Why don't you just admit that you want to take the lead in this collaboration rather than wasting everyone's precious time?" I said conversationally, taking another sip of coffee.

"Wh-what?" He stuttered.

Silence hummed in the air as I placed my coffee cup in the sink walked toward the couch and sank into it. I closed my eyes, letting my business partner spit whatever nonsense he wanted to.

I pulled out the phone from my suit's left pocket and stared at Mira's number, waiting for myself to click on the screen as a want to talk to her took over me but I found myself refraining from repeatedly dialing her number solely to hear her calming voice. She, too, is dealing with a hell of responsibilities. When I called her an hour ago, her fatigue was evident in her voice, which was understandable as her fashion event was drawing closer with each passing day, adding a burden to her work.

I shoved my phone back into my pocket and watched the disputes between my business partners.

"This deal costs thousands of crores" Ravi Mittal, my other business partner declared. "We have to plan decisions very carefully, Mr. Rajput and if we talk about your son, Siddharth, he might be the king of real estates but he doesn't know how our clothing industry works"

Of course.

"I must confess that I am clueless about the clothing industry but Mr. Mittal, let me remind you something. Last year our company faced a great loss under the leadership of someone's 'wisdom' and 'experience'." As I gazed upon him, his complexion turned into something ghostly white while a smirk pulled over my lips. "Do I need to bother you telling the rest of the history?"

His face grew more paler, provoking a chuckle of satisfaction from me.

It's admirable of him to even assume that I would ever release him, considering the significant losses our company has endured due to his actions. I am fully aware of Ravi's illicit activities and the extent to which they have adversely impacted our business but there's a reason for keeping him. If in future our company ever has to deal with any legal issues, this man would be helpful to us in many ways but that day is not distant when I will toss him out of the Bharat industry.
