CHAPTER 4

the fleet disembarked from japanese waters at 1100 hours, hayato was thanking the gods that his first officer had calmed down, she was still a bit 'brighter' in mood then most officers, but it was bearable now, it took three weeks to get from japan to the UK, it was faster then other ships do to the magical engines allowing for greater speeds

"STUDENTS, IN A MATTER OF HOURS THE JAPANESE NAVAL ACADEMY WILL BE SENDING THEIR ENVOY, AS HARRY POTTER, WHO HAS BEEN RENAMED HAYATO ISHIKAWA IS RETURNING TO BRITISH SOIL TO COMPETE IN THE TRIWIZARD TOURNAMENT, I EXPECT YOU TO WELCOME THIS ENVOY AS YOU HAVE WELCOMED THE SCHOOLS OF DURMSTRANG AND BEAUXBATONS, I HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT THEY ARE ARRIVING IN A SIMILAR FASSION TO THAT OF DURMSTRANG AS SUCH ALL STUDENTS ARE EXPECTED TO REPORT TO THE BLACK LAKE, IN TWO HOURS TO WELCOME OUR FINAL GUESTS" dumbledore erupted during breakfast

two hours later the students and teachers of all three schools watched as the musashi, the two nagato-class battleships and kongō-class battleships slid majestically across the water

"those are world war II battleships, that is the IJN: musashi" hermione said in shock she knew her history

"i believe our school has been thoroughly trounced by that display" krum said

"ours as well" fleur agreed, as the musashi moored, followed closely by the other six ships that served as it's escort

"look, the main ships guns are moving" draco said, and he was right the musashi's, nagato's, and mutsu's forward guns were rising, quite high, they then fired a single round into the air, with a colossal boom

"why'd they do that" daphne asked

"they just saluted us" colin said, his father was apart of the british navy, so he recognized a gun-salute

"what do you mean" draco asked, he was afraid by those colossal guns

"it's a naval tradition, it shows they respect us, by firing a round of their guns in salute" colin said

"look" lavender said, as they saw a set of five smaller ships coming towards them

"those are skiffs, they must be sending people ashore" colin said, it took ten minutes before the skiffs reached land and they disembarked

"i am lieutenant daisuke Igarashi, professor of kōkai academy, this is my commanding officer and student lieutenant-commander hayato ishikawa, and his entourage" lieutenant igarashi introduced, dumbledore was bit confused how could a superior also be a student, that seemed counter intuitive

"all it means is that this drill sergeant can't scream at me anymore, without some severe repercussions, while we are here i am in charge of this expedition, but when i return to the academy, the lieutenant will continue teaching me and my fellow students what we need to know to thrive within the magical navy" i said explaining to the confused headmasters

"welcome to hogwarts, harry" dumbledore said i frowned

"headmaster, i will remind you my name is hayato ishikawa, heir to the ishikawa family, the potter name and legacy is dead and gone, i made sure of that when you idiots tried to take it from me in an attempt to get control of me" i said

"that was not my decision" dumbledore said placatedly, and in fact, albus had fought extremely hard against such an action but even the chief warlock can be outvoted, and as such the british magical economy nearly imploded and the goblins had a field day, overall a disaster, as all they succeeded in doing was pushing harry further away, AND nearly destroying their economy in the process

"we shall see, i have learned not to trust anyone british, i am glad my grandfather offered me blood adoption, so i no longer have any british blood flowing through me, i am purely japanese, and proud of it, now about this tournament, the first task i believe is in two weeks time, so please explain what needs done" i said

"the first task is to test your courage, so we aren't telling you" crouch said

"very well, if that is all i am going back to my ship and will see you in for the first task" i asked

"wait, the weighing of the wands ceremony is in two days" dumbledore said

"have someone waiting for me at the school entrance at 1000 hours" i said

"when" dumbledore said not knowing how naval time worked

"ten a clock in the morning" i said

"of course" dumbledore said

"a pleasure" i said and with that i boarded the skiff and it took me back to the musashi

"well i thought he might wish to come and eat with us" dumbledore said, but krum shook his head

"the japanese are extremely isolationist, they are slowly moving away from it, but he will not ask for aid from outsiders, that includes food, they have likely brought enough supplies to last the year" krum said

"you know about them viktor" igor said

"last year, cadet ishikawa came to my home with an invitation to the academy, i asked for a year to think about it since i knew about the tournament and wished to partake, i will be contacting the now lieutenant-commander and informing him i will accept" viktor said, with a shrug before walking away
