And so it begins again...

Happy New Month guys & welcome back!

It's good to be here with each of you. In case you're new and feeling a bit lost, be sure to catch up on the prequel - Broken - then you can come back to this when you're done with that. Also, the trailer is up on my Instagram if you want to give it a quick watch (Direct link —->).

Before we get into this story, I just want to give you all a heads-up. There have been a lot of changes in my life since I completed Broken. I got a new job which I'm currently navigating. In the first month, there was a moment when I asked myself "would I be able to start Bruised?"

If you keep up with me on YouTube, then this isn't news to you. For the first time since I joined Wattpad, I wondered if I would be able to juggle a paying job and my passion for writing that doesn't pay. It's been playing over and over again in my head and let's just say that I came to the conclusion that I love writing so much so, that I would try my best to make time for it.

That being said, I plan to put out one chapter every week. I do ask for your patience and understanding on the weeks that I might not be able to give you guys another chapter. But like I said, I love writing; giving it up is truly unthinkable. But I do pray that God gives me the strength to be able to steward this gift that He has blessed me with. I pray that I'm able to use it to serve Him and bring glory to His name.

If you want to keep up with me outside of writing, be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel. Your support would be very much appreciated. And if you find yourself there, you can drop an orange heart to let me know that you're from Wattpad and I'll be sure to give you a shoutout in my next video. (Direct link —->)

**********

Alright, guys, I'm as excited and as nervous to begin this like I was when I released Broken. There's just so much that's in store for you and I'm looking forward to experiencing it all with you guys.

It's been so therapeutic for me to write this story that's a mixture of the brokenness I experienced with a heavy dose of fiction. But I know it was a rock bottom I needed to reach to find my way back on the path of the Lord. Not nearly as many times as I should be, I am grateful for His grace and salvation. I hope this story reaches even one soul out there to let them know that they are not alone.

No matter where you find yourself in life, you are not alone, you are seen, and you are very much loved by our Heavenly Father. God has a record of using the brokenness and weakness of His people for His glory. I do not have it all figured out and I'm learning as I go. But from what I've tasted of His goodness, dang, I wanna shout out from rooftops how overwhelming, profound, and unconditional His love is. There is nothing that can ever compare.

Ok, I'm going to let the story do the talking. Meet you all back here on 1st January 2024.

Dang, 2024 is here already.

Love you muchly,
Jane.

P.S.: We're going to skip the disclaimer and introduction to the characters because we've done that in Book 1.
