a/n: sorry for not posting in a while, i'll try & do better (but probably won't haha). my posting might actually be better and more consistent during the summer (key word might, it probably won't be). anywhoo, onto the party!! aka the foundation for the whole story ;)
word count: 1650 (dang, the longest chapter i've ever wrote in my entire history)
extra info: neo (maddie's boyfriend) is a sophomore in college. he is a dirty blonde with hazel eyes. he's very jacked, which probably will have no significance in this story, but I wanted to make him buff.
salish's boyfriend ben is a junior in college. he has brown hair and blue eyes.
salish's pov
maddie's boyfriend neo arrived first and then we waited about five minutes for my boyfriend ben to arrive. I was a bit bummed that we were riding separately, but also kind of happy that we were at the same time.
"I call aux!!", I said enthusiastically
"OH COME ON! I prepared the perfect playlist for this party", ben yelled
"fine.. but I call aux on the way back", I said
"fine by me", he said putting his hand on my thigh
the first song that came on was "whatever you like", by t.i.
me and ben started yelling the lyrics, trying to get our bodies hyped up but not too excited for the night.
at about the end of the song ben put the car in park.
"um, what's going on?", I asked
his hand closest to me slipped one of the straps of my dress off.
immediately I slipped the strap back up and slapped his hand away
"BEN, knock it off", I said annoyed.
he usually gets turned on later in the night after he's had a few drinks in his system, but this behavior out of him this early in the night was unusual.
"i'm just joking baby, the reason I parked the car is because we're here", ben said
"already?", I said trying to shake off my freak out which I was embarrassed of.
"yeah, look. neo just pulled up with maddie next to us", he said waving to them
"have you been drinking?", I asked
"i've only had a budlight so far tonight", he said

with what just happened with ben, I was relieved to see maddie and neo. me and ben have been dating since the beginning of summer, so about may. it's obvious at this point who wears the pants in the relationship.
"i'm so excited girl", maddie said semi-running over to me
"me too", I said
"what's the matter?", maddie whispered to me frowning
"how should I put this.. ben got a little too excited in the car & I thought he was going to try to have sex with me before the party", I said into her ear
"oh, i'm sorry", she said frowning
"THAT JUST MEANS YOU LOOK HOT", maddie said yelling as we were approaching the entrance to the party
"true that", I said
"WHAT?", maddie yelled
"I SAID TRUE THAT"
