That's Midnight above👆☝👆
************************************Artemis's POV
The week went by too fast.
The only good part about this is that Midnight is coming with me.
"Artemis, everything is in your truck. It's time to leave." My grandma snapped me out of my thoughts.
"I'm coming." I replied.
She nodded and went back outside.
I got up from the kitchen island and followed Midnight to my black Ford.
She is great off leash.
I went outside and my grandma and grandpa were standing next to my truck.
I went over to them and hugged them.
"I'll miss you guys." I pulled away.
"We'll miss you too, and this will give you an opportunity to make some friends." My grandma smiled.
"No promises, Grandma." I replied.
I'm anti-social.
So I don't have friends. Also if any wolves knew I had allies, they would get to me through them.
I'm just trying to protect people.
I opened the passenger door as Midnight jumped inside. I closed door.
"Before you leave, promise us you'll at least make one friend. You can't live your life by yourself." My grandpa point out.
"You guys know why I don't have friends. It's too risky." I defended.
"Artemis. Promise us." He grabbed my shoulders.
"OK. I promise I'm make a friend." I gave in.
They both smiled. "You have to leave know if you don't want to deal with traffic. Here's your glasses."
She handed me, my pair of fake glasses.
I only wear them when I'm out in public or when I'm driving, so if a wolf picks up my scent they won't suspect I'm Robin Hood.
I slid them on my face. "Thanks. I love you guys."
I pulled them into another hug.
I pulled away and got in the drivers seat.
I opened the window to the passenger seat so Midnight can stick her head out the window.
She barked 'goodbye' to my grandparents as I drove off.
I turned on the radio. I started listening to random songs.
I started to mouth the words.
After a couple of hours, Midnight fell asleep.
I closed the window and looked at her sleeping curled up body.
She's so cute.
I focused my attention back to the road.
After long hours full of driving, gas stations, and drunk perverts, I finally made it to my new house.
It was in the woods, obviously.
It had a master bedroom and two guest bedrooms.
It was nice.
I parked in the driveway. Midnight start d to stir around in her sleep until her eyes opened.
She saw the house in front of us and wagged her tail in joy as she barked.
I smiled at her as I hope out of the car and opened the door on her side.
