And purple was all the sparkled ,
On our skin ,and in our eyes.
And with time it faded.
And soon from you ,
Those sparkles died.
And these colors ,
I had to hide .
Little did i know
I wasn't the only one who tried ,
To make you glow,
To color you bright.
You took all of me ,
And left me grey .
So then i took ,
My steps away ,
And washed all the purple
Put it down the drain.
I know I'm monochrome ,
Just like clouds before the rain.
Won't wait for anyone ,
To color me bright .
I'll live in my grey ,
Holding on so tight.
