These are just a note about types or groups of Asians. Hope you will understand the differences with these knowledge.

1. East Asians.

➳ East Asians come from Japan, China, Mongolia, Taiwan, North and South Korea. Their image is the one associated when westerners think of "Asians". Typically, East Asians have light skin, black straight hair and the space between the eye and the eye sockets stress point is smaller, making East Asian eyes appear smaller.

2. South Asians.

➳ They come from India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka. They often have darker skin but can also have lighter skin and more Mongoloid features with defined eyes and sharper noses.

3. Southeast Asians.

➳ In the countries selected you see they come from Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia, East Timor and Brunei. They are typically lighter than South Asians but darker than East Asians.

4. Central Asians.

➳ These are people from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyrstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Afghanistan (the "stans").

5. West Asians.

➳ West Asians come from Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Syria, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Turkey and Yemen, although there are different definitions of West Asian countries with different countries included. You may know West Asians as Middle-Eastern.

6. Eurasians/Hapa.

➳ Hapa come from the Hawaiian word for "half", "part", or "mixed". Also loaned from the English word "half". In Hawaii, the word refers to any person of mixed ethnic heritage, regardless of the specific mixture. They are people with mixed Asian and European origins.

Asia is a huge continent extending from the Middle East to Japan. Count the countries and then the ethnic minorities in each country. You will learn about 48 different countries with amazing history and heritage. You will soon realise that Asian peoples are amazingly diverse.

I wish more westerners would see and acknowledge all the different groups of Asians instead of focusing on just East Asians or in my experience just "Japan, China and Korea".
