Q: How did you first come up with this story?
When I first wrote Maybe It's You, it was back in early April 2020, when my country just entered a COVID-19 lockdown.
At that time, I was really overwhelmed by all the sudden changes in our lives (stay-home restrictions, unable to meet friends, etc). I could imagine how everybody must have felt the same way. That was when I wrote a rom-com story hoping to bring everyone some laughter and happiness! It was an absolute joy to write this piece during the pandemic and it has become my comfort story. ❤️
This story is going to be a little different from what I always write — it's going to be in a Korean historical setting instead! I grew up watching Kdramas, and it has always been a dream of mine to write a story in a similar setting. 😀
