Stan had been looking for an opportunity to ask you out all week, after Richie threatened to ask you himself (just to pressure Stan cause he was tired of hearing the same thing over and over). So, for a whole week Stanley prepared himself, and now he finally had the opportunity to do it. He was internally stressing out.
