It's been a few weeks since you and Spencer started dating. It's now the middle of September.
The past few weeks have been a dream for you. Lots of cute dates to nice restaurants and some at your apartments with meals you cooked together or with take out. You felt good with Spencer. You felt safe.
It's Wednesday afternoon and you're sitting at working day dreaming about the weekend and what you and Spencer would do...a movie? dinner? Walk in the park? What would it be? You smiled to yourself and continued to work. An hour later your phone rings. It's Spencer. That's weird you think to yourself he doesn't call when I'm at work you don't think much about it and answer anyways
"Hey cutie" you said in a playful tone
"Y/N," he he whispered and you knew right away he had a case and would be leaving you probably for the entire weekend.
"Noooo" you sighed "where to this time?"
"Texas" he whispered
You realize he's whispering and whisper back "Why are we whispering"
"I'm in a room next to my team" he laughed still whispering.
"Oh I'm sorry" you laughed "Well Dr Reid go save lives and put some asshole away. I'll be here when you get back....as always" you said with a slight sigh
"I'm sorry babe I wish I didn't have to rush out, but-"
"Spence it's your job. Stop apologizing! Really it's fine I'll hangout with the girls. Just be safe okay? Come back in one piece" you said nervously because you hated knowing how much danger he was truly in even though you never talked about it.
"Of course...I'll be careful. I'll let you know when we land and call you tonight. And hey if I'm staying safe you better stay beautiful" you could hear the cheesy smile across his face
"Corn ball" you said right before you heard a woman come in the room and say
"Spence, come on, Hotch wants us at the jet now they found another body this guy is getting worse..." she paused "Are you on the phone? I'm sorry."
"No JJ it's fine. Just had to make a call really quick, I'm almost done I'll be out in a minute" he said and you heard the door click
"Sounds like this case is going to be shitty...he's already killed again?" You said
"Yeah which means now I really have to go. They need us as soon as possible. I'll text you when I land and I will call you the minute we get a break" he said
"Stay safe, Spencer." You said before hanging up.
You sat back in your chair and sighed. As you let out a long sigh your office door is opened and in walks Lindsay
"Woah there. Everything okay? What did I walk into?" She laughed at overhearing your sigh.
"Spence has a case. In Texas." You sadly said
"Aw hun I'm sorry. But let's make the best of it shall we? Girls night on Friday at my house" she suggested.
"Sounds great. I'll bring the wine. Lots and lots of wine" you said
"Great! I'll tell Katie! Just like old times" she smiled
Girls night was something you used to do months ago like every Friday night. Especially when you and josh would get into fights and then even more right after the break up and you moved out. These girls night were all about the wine, Chinese food, snacks, gossip, movies and ended with you 3 cuddled together on the couch falling asleep. You enjoyed them especially when you were sad.
