Artemis' POV

I wake up and sit up in bed. It's Saturday and I don't have to go to school, so I decide to work on the next chapter of my book. The book is basically my life story. It's a series and the first book was a huge hit. That's when I started writing. I've been working on the series for about 7 months now. I wanted to get 3 more books done before I release the second one. I am now writing my 3rd book in the series and I'm almost done with the last chapter.

3 hours later

I finally finished the 3rd book. I decided not start the 4th because Jenn called and told me that my family will be here in couple of hours. I decided to get into some gym clothes and go workout. I put on a sports bra and some leggings and a sweater. I have scars on my back and stomach but I don't try to hide them. I'm proud of them because they remind me that I'm strong and that I'm a survivor. No one knows about the scars except Zane.

I pack a gym pack with a towel, a water bottle, my phone, charger, my AirPods, a sandwich, and my keys and I make my way to the gym. I get there pretty early. It's 1:00 and literally no one is at the gym. I put my stuff down and take out my air pods and phone and start playing some music. I do a little stretch and a short run on the treadmill. Then, I go to the punching bag.

My music is really loud, Lil Tecca's song, Ransom blasting through my ears. Even though I can't hear anything, I can sense Zane's presence behind me. I feel 3 more people's presence behind me. And none that I recognize. I feel Zane tap my shoulder.

"You know better than to interrupt my gym time Zane." I say in a cold voice. It's true, he does. Last time someone interrupted my gym time, I punched them in the nose by accident.....yea......accident. I stop punching the bag knowing that whatever he has to tell or show me is important. I pause my music and turn around to look at him.

There are two men and a woman behind him that look almost like me.

"Oh my god..... it's them."

Stefano's POV (father)

Finally, after hours of being in the sky, the jet lands. Emeril, Dante, and I make our way to the car that's waiting for us and we drive to the police station. When we get there, a woman comes up to us.

"Are you Mr. Regio-Ivanov?" she asks.

"Yes. This my wife Emeril and my eldest son Dante."

"My name is Jennifer Ortega. I'm your daughter's social worker." she says.

"Where is Artemis?" I ask.

"She went back to her house after I told you would be coming today." she says as she takes out her phone to call someone. "Hey Zane. Remember when I told you that Artemis' family was coming today? They're here and we're waiting for Tes right now.....So she's at the gym?.....Ok, thanks Zane. Bye." she hung up the phone and turned towards us. "That was Artemis' trainer. He'll be here soon to take you to Artemis."

I nod and we go to sit down. Not 10 minutes later, a man walks through the door and walks over to us. "Are you Artemis' family?" he asks. I nod and he tells us to follow him. He gets into his car and we get into ours. He drives for about 5 minutes before pulling up to a gym.

"She's here?" Dante asks surprised and confused.

"I guess so?" it sound more like a question than a statement and we all get out the car.

"Are you sure Artemis is here?" my wife asks.

"Trust me. If Artemis is anywhere it'll be here." he states as he walked towards the gym.

"So Jennifer said that you're her trainer?" Dante asks curiously.

"Yeah. I've been training her since she was 8 and she's one hell of a fighter. We became really close and she's like my little sister. The same with Jennifer. We're all like one small family." he says. A small smile makes it way into his face and he stops at a doorway. "There she is."
