Hello everyone!
I've been absent for the past almost three months mainly because of my health (physical and mental). In the past six months, I have been more sick than in the last five years of my life, and it took a toll on me. It's never anything too serious, but my body and mind just aren't used to this kind of strain. I'm used to seasonal colds, but that had always been just a terrible case of runny nose and a slight cough or sore throat. Now, I get high fevers (waking up to 39.9°C even though I took two pills of paracetamol before falling asleep isn't fun >.<), such a terrible cough I cannot sleep, and my throat swells so badly I cannot talk properly. Three weeks ago, I had covid (yet again). Last week, I was lucky enough to contract some kind of stomach bug and ended up violently throwing up for 12 hours before it calmed down a little (I don't remember ever having the stomach flu in my entire life!), completely worn out the next few days.
I don't know what's going on, but my immune system is all over the place.
I used all the energy I had left to somehow function outside of my bed. It wasn't only writing that had to be postponed, but I also stopped reading (my ultimate hobby!) and watching TV. I was just stuck in this weird state of resignation and inability to enjoy anything.
But weirdly enough, I feel better now. So, I will be jumping right back into writing. I will continue updating Bittersweet Confession and Apple Pies and Broken Hearts. Also, it's time to get back to Deceitful Lottery too, so if there are any readers who have been waiting for the hiatus to end, this is it! A new chapter will be up by the end of the week! ^.^
