Originally from Seattle, Washington (USA), my wife and I moved to Sapporo, Japan, the capitol of Hokkaido Prefecture, in early 2008, where I write full-time as a novelist, poet, and short story author. I have three novels published, and a fourth on the way. My novella "The Old Man and the Monkey", a fable about an elderly man in a tiny Hokkaido village and the big monkey that becomes his friend during the last 5 years of his life. It is a fable about friendship.

"Grandfather and the Raven" is a novel about a Sapporo grandfather and his big raven friend and companion, and their often humorous adventures in their Sapporo neighborhood. It, too, is a story about the importance of friendship.

"Bear" is a story about a Seattle boy named Andy and his very unusual dog named Bear, a big dog with some very special talents, including nosing out danger. Bear also has a quirky sense of humor.

My new novel, "The City Has Many Faces", is a love story about Mexico City, a city I fell in love with 40 years ago. The first chapter, "The City", appears here in Wattpad, as does another chapter.

Enjoy your visit, leave a comment or two or more, and drop back from time to time.
