QES reading friends I am going to apologize in advance - there won't be an update this week. I was aiming for a double update earlier, but have had an exceptionally busy few days at work. Since some of you are science geeks like me, I am going to tell you why.
My research group had been working on a hypothesis for almost 2 years. This week we got data back that proved our hypothesis in both an animal model and humans. For researchers, this is the stuff that dreams are made off!!! (MashaAllah!)
Anyway, while I deal with the happy consequences of those findings, here is a teaser scene from the next chapter.
*****
He burst in through the door, worry etched on every contour of his face.
"Why in God's name would you get on a plane without telling anyone?" he glared, pausing just inches away from me. Close enough for me to see through his furious façade, and notice the lines of exhaustion around his eyes.
It should have sobered me up. Anyone else might have spoken heartfelt words of gratitude. Yet, I stood still, letting a smile creep over my face. I even had to bite my lip to stop myself from chuckling as his frown deepened.
"What is so funny?"
"You. Tum tou asl mein meray hero ban gaye ho."
His lips parted, nothing came out. He simply turned fifty shades of crimson.
Iykyk ;)
See you early next week!
