I never did it, and
          	  I’ll never do it again
          	  I’ve never trended, and
That seems to be the trend

Stripe, I gotta right stripe down my back
It’s bluish orange and black as molasses strap

          	  I never did it, and
          	  I’ll never do it again
          	  I’ve never trended, and
That seems to be the trend

Hype, it tries to getcha in the sack
It pulls your guts out, then fixes you a snack

          	  I never did it, but
I might just do it again
          	  I’ve never trended but
          	  I might just pretend

          	  Chorus:
I know it takes a village
          	  To form a pyramid, but
          	  Self sabotage and pillage
Gets ya replaced by some kid

          	  I’m not offended, but
          	  There’s not much to defend
          	  I‘ve never bended, but
          	  I‘ve gone around the bend

Gotta jimmy leg that won’t stop at my ass
It wraps around my throat makin’ my voice sound crap

          	  I’m not offended, but
          	  There’s not much to defend
I‘ve never bended but, I‘ve gone around the bend

          	  Chorus:
I know it takes a village
          	  To form a pyramid, but
          	  Self sabotage and pillage
Gets ya replaced by some kid x2

          	  Bridge:
          	  Every day is a Wednesday
          	  Every month is November
          	  Every age feels like 51
          	  Not that I can remember
          	  Each disciple’s a Judas
          	  Every tear’s gonna simmer
And every fucking one of us
Won’t go out with a bang, but a whimper

          	  I never did it, and
          	  I’ll never do it again
          	  I’ve never trended and
that seems to be the trend

12 minutes into Netflix’s new mini-series “Painkiller” you will find a familiar face. I improvised a whole scene where sad-sack Mike goes on and on about all the stuff that his ex took (most fun I’ve ever had on set) that had my co-stars fighting back laughs…which mostly got cut (common occurrence)…but I’m feeling so VERY grateful they left even a little bit in. Comment if you got a chance to see it! ❤️

@Sean_Browning I believe I saw your scene. I think you are the customer with cash in his wallet. The video I was able to obtain was in Spanish, which I don't understand, so I'll watch the complete episode (and potentially the series) whenever it's available in English. It looks good so far. I only glimpsed the first 12 minutes and saw the main character fussing at his rig worker. Then I noticed him stroll over to Mike. That's fantastic. Another author who enjoys acting. :)

@Sean_Browning Hi. Is the series about America and opioid addiction? If so, which episode are you in? I'd like to watch the show asap. :)

Hey! I just read some of your work (I don’t see so bright…) and love it. Shades of Douglas Adams. Quirky, playful dry humour sprinkled all over the most universally profound of themes. Thanks for sharing your work.

Thanks for the lovely reply! Still reading and enjoying it.

NEW BOOK ALERT!!!! Whaaaaaaaaaaa?

Ok...I know a number of people have been waiting for a sequel to "I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room"...but Covid/The pandemic cast me into a dark mire of existential mid-life crisis and I couldn't seem to write anything for well over two years! I'm now feeling a bit more myself. Time to get back to it!

BUT sequels are a lot of work. So much to get back into and wrap your brain around. So many past storylines and characters. Especially a book as ridiculous and (purposefully) convoluted as Not So Bright.

Soooooooooo to warm up my brain (and to have a little fun in the FANTASY realm this time around) I present to you "What A Strange Thing We Are".

I will try to get a new chapter out once a week if I can, and it will have the same silliness and sense of humour as Not So Bright. (AND I promise to start working on that sequel as soon as I finish this new book!)

I hope you enjoy! AND PLEASE COMMENT!!! I LOVE COMMENTS!!!

          Much love from Canada,
          Sean
