Million thoughts flooded his mind yet he stayed unmoved staring lifelessly at the white ceiling, nervous nurses surrounded him trying to make him connect back to the real world but all he can focus on is Galia's hurtful sobs as she hides herself in the doctor's embrace, Elijah wants an embrace where he can pour his heart out too, but every time he reached for someone it caused him just more pain, so that's how he learned to keep his emotions for himself, as it is abvious that no one cares

Elijah's throat constricted and unshed tears stung his eyes, the hurt clenching his heart wants to push its way out of him, but nothing came, he felt stuffed yet so empty, he wants to cry out loud, to destroy his surrounding and hurt anyone who dared to glance his way, but he did nothing, hopeless, like always, he just closed his eyes and assured himself that it will be okay

he was always hopeless, always scared, timid and very fragile, he knew the reason why he's like that but he never dared to blame his mother, when he spent days and nights trapped in the dark and chilling basement far away from the real world he always tried to find excuses and reasons why his mother hated him, why his mother abused him

It wasn't her fault

she suffered a lot, she became a single mother at the age of fifteen, have her fourth daughter at the age of twenty one, and when she finally declared that she found love and had her first son her husband left and he can't never comeback, in other words Elijah and his mother were similar, they just want love, want to feel loved, but they just receive heartbreak after another, but one coped with it with rage and anger and the other with abuse and pain

her only son, the result of the first love she ever felt in her live, a child from the love of her live, the last thing she had from him before his death, outsiders think he would be spoiled, loved and cheriched

as a kid he had always loved the outdoors, the flowers and the birds, the sunlight and the rain, the way the trees move in a breeze and the soft touch of the wind against his face, tousling his hair and making him alive, he was a free kid, calm yet so observing, he loved watching the sunset and the droplets of rain on leaves after a stromy day, he loved the lively nature and soon there were no more light and colours in his world as the majority of his live was spent in a dark room

he was a fool when he thought that he can finally be free, that he has a chance to be happy, he put his sisters in danger just to be captured again

"it's all his fault!"

his face pinched in pain as his heart hammered in fright as he heard one of the nurses spat those words glaring at him, and a loud sob was heard followed by a river of tears as he finaly let it all out, he clunched the soft blanket as he hugged himself to appear smaller afraid of receiving more pain and abuse, after all they all were loyal to Leone

It was totally the wrong thing to do, as Galia's cheeks flushed, and her facial muscles became rigid she stomped towards the glaring nurse grabbing her by her hair

Shouts and cries filled the room as Galia didn't even flinch while slamming her fist down the nurse throat repeatedly, she could feel her heart pound and her blood pressure rise as she did all in her power to not kill the unconscious nurse, but how could she not? Elijah broken expression made her like a mad lioness ready to risk it all for her little cub, why is everyone trying to hurt her beloved ones?

Several hands holding onto Galia but she kept trashing around trying to escape their clutchs

"NO! LET GO!" she screamed loud, she was breathless with anger while watching the bloody cripple escorted out of the room by the frightened nurses, then her intention focused on the quivering boy who's at the verge of a panic attack

She looked at Elijah with her watery eyes and immediately brought him to her warm embrace, arms squeezed his shaking frame and it felt like a warm blanket hiding him from all the pain, he sank his face into her chest wanting to trap himself in her neverending warmth, he breathed more slowly, his body melting as he feel his muscles become loose, she gently patted his back as she landed a soft soft kiss on his forehead, and her heart constricted in pain as he looked up at her with twinkling tears falling from his eyes, and involuntary her small arms squeezed very protectively around his frail body

"All the things that hurted you had nothing to do with you, it's not your fault, and it was never your fault."
