Once we walked in the dining room I was met with our father and the other brothers with food on the table. They were talking quietly to each other and their plates were empty and clean so I'm guessing they waited for us.
They all stop talking when we reach the table and I took a seat on the edge next to Santiago. Nobody talked for a while until our father spoke up "How do you like your room Scarlett?".
"I like it, thank you" I replied.
"No problem you can design the room as how you like it. Anyway now everyone dig in"
Everyone starts grabbing food and placing it on their plate. I fill mine up with some of the chicken Alfredo pasta and some salad to the side. There's so much food it looks like a buffet.
After a while of silence our father speaks up
"So now for the rules" he says
"Rules?" I ask. I didn't think they will have rules for me. I mean you can't blame me I was used to living by myself and obviously the there was no rules.
"Yes rules, since you'll be living here now there are some rules I need you to go by. Don't worry it's not a lot." He says while looking straight at me.
At this point all the boys are looking at us paying attention to the conversation.
I nod and tilt my head to the side a bit signaling him to continue.
"Right so I made a list" he says and pulls out a sheet of paper from his pocket and it ain't even crumbled?
How did he even do that
As he hands the paper he looks me in the eyes and says "I hope you follow the rules and all my requests"
He makes it sound like I'm in a hotel or something...
I sigh and take a look at the paper.
RULES
1. No cursing 2. Don't talk back 3. Knock before stepping into office 4. No boyfriends or girlfriends until approved 5.If you need something then ask 6. Don't leave house without permission 7. Don't go to the top floor AT ALL
All the rules look self explanatory and I'm surprised he said girlfriends and boyfriends even though I am straight at least we know they ain't homophobic or something.
Number seven did caught my eye though. I'm guessing that floor is for their work and mafia stuff. Whatever I don't like that so I'm gonna really stay away from that floor for sure.
