Resurrect your word
bring back your faith
In me
In us
take me to church
let me pray to you
Take my soul
Claim it
Make me whole
Bless me
Take me
Lay me
Beside you where I should be
As two
Me and you

***

You know I'm thinking of you
When air turns blue
when one wrong brush
and my cheeks blush
I've never felt what I imagine
but I imagine it all the same
how one small touch
A flicker
A rush
A tantalising crush
Lacing, entwined
Lips combined
you make me feel alive
I've never felt what I imagine
But I imagine it all with you
and when my lips pink and my cheeks blush
it is the rush
of thinking of you

***
I see you all around me, not close enough for a hello
But when you are around me I suddenly miss home
It's not a place they say
But a feeling, of knowing you're there
And I can attest to that
Because Willa when you're near, home is where il be, running up your pathway
Among the many trees
Smiling for all the reasons
That you are home to me

***
Time is a thing I've begun to detest
A slow and torturous tick
It is loud and obnoxious that booming clock
My parents hallway houses the worst one yet
We sit for lunch and I hear it teasing
A tick, a tock... oh that fucking clock
I'm meant to be present, to be conversing
To be among family
But the clock it taunts
It haunts
Painfully so
It's slow and revealing
How I must watch it so
Listen for it even though it pains me
Because every second is a one closer
To the time that brings you back to me
And so with time I have an affinity
In time I have you
