i am not sure what it was about you
that caught my eye.
since then,
i haven't stopped thinking about you.
i recall the times i was next to you
and all i wanted to do
was close the space between us
but my mind always wandered
if you wanted the same.
the things i'd do
to just feel you again.
how the warmth of your hand,
made me feel so secure.
how your simple compliments,
made me feel so valuable in life.
i wish i could tell you,
how much you mean to me
and how you are the best thing
that has ever happened to me.
