Third P.O.V
A doorbell woke up the famous singer Matthew Star, and he hurried to answer the door.
"Matt, s-something terrible happened."
Seeing the one he loved show up at his doorstep crying, Matthew felt a pang in his chest.
"What's wrong (Y/N)?"
Matthew led the sorrowful (Y/N) to his couch.
"J-Jackson cheated on me."
Matthew's face contorted with rage.
"How dare he! That piece of-!"
"Calm down."
(Y/N)'s pitiful face slightly calmed Matthew's fury.
"How could he do that to you?"
Matthew asked in a gentle tone.
"I think he's been sneaking around for over a year now."
That was Matthew's last straw.
"I'm going to kill that b*stard!!"
(Y/N) sprung into action and stopped Matthew from leaving.
"Take a deep breath, I don't want my bestfriend to go to jail."
Though seeing that guy dead might be worth it.
Matthew stopped struggling and gave (Y/N) a calm smile.
Did I knock some sense into him?
"Don't worry, (Y/N). I won't get caught."
I stand corrected.
"MATTHEW!!!"
After calming Matthew down, (Y/N) and Matthew could talk like adults.
"What are you going to do now?"
Matthew asks with concern.
"Our relationship was public, but no one knew my identity. So breaking up shouldn't be a problem."
"What if he tries to interfere with your work?"
(Y/N) had already thought of this possibility.
"I plan on quitting my job and starting a business with my savings. If Jackson tries to interfere, I'll make his affair public."
"But wouldn't he just claim that there was no affair and claim that you were just a third-party?"
(Y/N) smiled at Matthew's insight.
You have to be smart to be in the entertainment industry.
"I've met his grandfather before."
"How is that relevant?"
"His grandfather hates affairs, and once he hears that his grandson had an affair, he might take back some of the company."
Matthew stares at (Y/N) with wide eyes.
"Were you always this good at counterattacking?"
(Y/N) decided to be a sweetheart.
"I learned it all from you."
(Y/N) said with a bright smile. Matthew swallowed.
"(Y/N)... I have something to ask you."
