~Forty Two~

Third Person's POV

Next day Mrunali woke up with slight bags under her eyes. The whole night she couldn't sleep and was restless. She also didn't let Abhiraaj know because she knows how he has been tensed because of his work. Kissing Abhiraaj's cheeks she went to change.

After freshening up she took out a light blue colour saree. Changing into it, she made her hair and applied sindoor before wearing her mangalsutra. She then went downstairs to make breakfast.

Mrunali was lost in her thoughts while making breakfast. She was thinking about last night. Mihika, who came to help saw Mrunali busy in her thoughts and was about to cut her finger. "Mrunali! Where are you lost?" Mihika said taking the knife.

"Huh! No-no where bhabhi." Mrunali said. "You would've sliced your finger." Mihika said checking her hand for any injuries and sighed when she didn't found any. "Work carefully." Mihika said and giving a smile Mrunali nodded.

After that both of them made breakfast before setting it on the table. Soon everyone come down to have it. Mrunali was once again lost in her thoughts and was playing with her food. Abhiraaj noticed and shook her.

"Why aren't you eating? Where are you lost?" Abhiraaj asked. Mrunali gave him a smile shaking her head and ate her food. Abhiraaj sighed. He can see from her face that she is lost in her thoughts. He can also see the bags under her eyes. He then decided to ask her after breakfast.

When breakfast was done everyone leave for their works. Mrunali and Abhiraaj also leave in Abhiraaj's car. Abhiraaj stopped the car in front of her company. Mrunali was about to get off when Abhiraaj held her hand to stop her.

"Mrunali...what's bothering you?" Abhiraaj asked. "What made you think that?" Mrunali asked trying to give him a smile. "Do you think I haven't noticed how you're behaving so weirdly after the party. You didn't even sleep peacefully last night." Abhiraaj said.

"It's-it's nothing like that Abhi I-" "Seriously Mrunali now? You've been getting nightmares. You're behaving weirdly now. I didn't forced you to tell me because you were not ready but now it feels like you don't trust me enough!" Abhiraaj said frustratedly making her eyes widen.

"Abhi it's nothing like what you're thinking! It's just...." Mrunali trailed and Abhiraaj just shake his head. "I'll pick you up after work and take you to your house. Now go." Abhiraaj said causing Mrunali to look at him.

"Abhi-" "Go Mrunali!" Abhiraaj said Mrunali get off the car and Abhiraaj drive away speedily. Mrunali blink back her tears and went inside. The whole day Mrunali was sad and lost. Sana noticed and asked what happened which was enough for Mrunali to cry her eyes out.

She cried holding onto her best friend and told her everything from the party to the fight with Abhiraaj. "I don't know Sana how to tell him! I'm scared....what if something happened....I don't want to lose him Sana. I don't!" Mrunali said, crying.

"Mrunali don't cry please and don't think like this. Jiju loves you a lot and by telling him nothing will happen!" Sana said. "I'm still scared Sana! Nobody believed me except for you three, Yash and dada-dadi." Mrunali said.

"But Mrunali he will. He is your husband and he loves you!" Sana said. Sana then consoled before making her drink water and eat something then both went to work. After sometime Mrunali decided to give a call to Abhiraaj.

Abhiraaj was working on an important file when he got Mrunali's call. He looked at it and decided not to pick but then sighing he did. He accepted the call but didn't said anything. Mrunali who thought he won't pick up was surprised when he did.

"Abhi..." Mrunali said and Abhiraaj hummed. "Abhi I'm sorry...." Mrunali said but Abhiraaj didn't said anything making Mrunali's eyes filled with tears. "Abhi say something please....see you're again ignoring me....you promised me you won't ignore me.." Mrunali complaint like a child.
