~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When i remembered... Dally.
I hopped back on my bike and sped home. I grabbed one of my suitcases and emptied out my school backpack.
I had a College sized book bag since i has lots of work so it was huge.
I packed my favorite clothes like my flannels, tanks, all my jeans and jean shorts, sweatpants, and some pajama sets.
I packed my jewelry case and some accessories, like shoes and and hair stuff
I packed my toiletries like my tooth brush/hair brush, underwear, bras, makeup, and makeup remover.
I packed some extra clothes in my college bag and some snacks since the train ride to NYC to Tulsa was a full 24 hours.
I called Dally for the first time in about 8 years.
We had sent letters but he stopped sending them after a while. I think my mail or his got lost.
i took a deep breath and dialed his number
"Hello?"
"Hi! Is Dallas Winston there?" i said excitedly
"Uh, Lemme call 'em over for ya. Give me a moment suga." The southern man said
"AYE DALLY! YA GOT SOME GIRL ON THE LINE FOR YA!!" I heard the man yell
"The fuck does someone need right now?!"
Oh. My. God. He sounds so different...
"Hello? Dallas winston speaking"
"Dals... is that you?" I asked terrified of his answer. I don't know why i'm so nervous. What if he tells me to fuck off? Or that i'm not his problem? Thoughts raced my mind..
"V...Valerie?! I-i-is that... Really you?!" His voice shook. i heard a "are you alright man" in the back
"Yep. It sure is.."
"Oh my god! What happened? What's wrong?! how come you've never called before??"
"Dad didn't let me. He said i'd run up the bill, but about dad..."
"Yeah.. How is that Prick..."
"Um.. he kind of.." My voice threatened to give out with sobs. But i trucked through. "He left me.. and so did mom.. they abandoned me." That's when the waterworks flowed.
