Chapter 24

When those words left her mouth, I felt that everything around me was collapsing for a second! Why was he in the nurse's room? I thought before started running there and when I entered I found him awake drawing in a notebook and with no hesitation I ran and hugged him! He left the notebook fell on the ground, and he hugged me too so tight that I almost lose my breath

Y/n: What happened?

I said, sitting on his bed next to him 

Xavier: I had the same dream with the other day about you and I wanted to ensure that you were alright, but you weren't there and in my way back I fainted! Thank god Weems was around and brought me here! I got so scared when I didn't find you in your dorm and after the way you left me in the afternoon I was so worried 

He said putting his hand on my cheek, and I smile and took his hands in mine because it was cute the fact that he was worried about me 

Y/n: Well, I am here now 

I said, and he smiled before he kissed him, and I kissed him back! Then I lied my head on his chest and he put his hands around me, hugging me protectively 

Xavier: No, but really, where were you? 

Y/n: My sister and I broke into the police's offices in Jericho to find some documents about the Garret family 

Xavier: What did you find out, my little Nancy Drew?

He said, and I looked at him annoyed while he was smiling 

Y/n: Don't compare me to her because we both know that she will lose this battle 

I said and he laughed 

Xavier: Oh, I know 

He said kissing my forehead and I smiled 

Xavier: You know Y/n, I may not be sure for a lot of things in my life but one thing I know for sure is that I want to spend it with you 

He said, and I smiled, looking on the ceiling, and then I stood up and looked at him 

Y/n: If that's your way of saying that you are obsessed with me, then I really like it 

I said, and he took my hands with a smile on his face 

Xavier: Y/n Adams, you came into my life unexpectedly and changed me for the better! Ever since you came into my life, you became the reason I love waking up every morning! Your smile warms my heart in the cold weather, and your dark eyes keep me company in those endless days! I don't know what is going to happen to us in an hour, today or tomorrow, but I know that my love for you is the only thing that will stay untouchable in time! I love you

He said with a smile on his face, and I smiled too! I couldn't believe that right now at this moment Xavier was telling me that he loved me. It felt like a dream, a dream that I didn't want to wake up! I wanted to say it back for so bad, but something inside me was stopping me, and I didn't know what or why I couldn't! I know I love him, I truly do, but I feel like if I tell him those three words everything around me will collapse, and I will lose him! I may not be scared of monsters or any other terrifying things that exist outside these school's grounds, but one thing that scares me to death is losing him, and I don't want that to happen! Before I knew it, Xavier pulled me closer and kissed me, then I forget everything about it 

The next day was Saturday, and I was lying in my bed staring at the ceiling while listening to music, processing what happened the other night! Why I couldn't say to the boy that I loved that I loved him? It is so confusing and complicating ! I got out of my thoughts when Enid came and sat next to me on my bed! She turned off my Walkman, but I didn't care, and I was still looking on the ceiling 

Enid: What is going on with you? You haven't said a word all day 

She said and I sighed before looking at her 

Enid: Come on, Xavier is out of the nurse's room, and you don't have anything to worry about

She said, and I stand up and sat next to her while looking on the floor 

Y/n: He told me that he loved me 

I said looking on the floor and she smiled 

Enid: What? Really? Y/n that's amazing!

She said jumping from her happiness 

Y/n: I couldn't say it back 

I said, and she stopped before she came and sat next to me again 

Enid: Why? Don't you love him? 

Y/n: Of course I do 

I said with no hesitation 

Enid: Then why don't you say it to him? 

Y/n: Because I am scared, and I don't know why! I am not scared of all the dangerous things that are in this world, but I am scared to say these specific three words to him and I don't know what is wrong with me 

I said, falling to my bed again, staring at the ceiling, and she smiled 

Enid: There is nothing wrong to be scared of something Y/n! It's normal, and we are humans with these amazing gifts that we have to face our fears first if we want to succeed in this life! It's completely normal 

She said and I smiled! Enid was a great friend, and I was glad that she came into my life! I never had a friend except my siblings before, and I am really glad that my first real friend was her! Then my sister suddenly burst into the room 

Wednesday: I have a rather terrific idea!

She said and we looked at her confused 

Wednesday:It makes me nauseous when I say it, but would you both want to have a girl's night? 

Y/n:Are you sick?

I asked her in a serious tone because Wednesday usually hates these kinds of things! Enid had already jumped out of the bed and was jumping around from happiness 

Enid: Yes, yes, yes

She said with a huge smile on her face, but I stood up and went to my sister while crossing my hands

Y/n: What are you planning in that evil mind of yours, Wen? 

I asked, and she scoffed with a smile on her face

Wednesday: It's a surprise 

She said, and I glared at her before Enid came to us with the snoods she made for our birthday on her hands 

Enid: We can wear our snoods
