𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐚 𝐇𝐚𝐥𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐝 𝐧𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐦𝐮𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐚 𝐟𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐛𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐧𝐞. Ever since she was a kid, the thought of not having someone with her at all times made anxiety settle deep within her stomach.

The blonde's boyfriend had soon come to realise this, picking up on the small details of hanging around school a little later so she could catch a ride back, or conveniently walking by the Dunbar home when her parents were out of town so she wouldn't have to be alone with her thoughts.

Something which brought them to their current predicament of where the Hale descent was going to stay that night of the senior scribe, as after the revelation of the last full moon had only just come out, neither Stiles nor Scott were very fond of letting the girl stay over at her other half.

"You know you two sure have a lot of opinions about how I should live my life for somebody who aren't my parents. Even my mom said I could sleep at his!" Nova all but huffed out as she crossed her arms from where she sat in the back of Stiles's jeep.

The girl's parents had been out of state for the last two weeks. Derek having taken his wife away for their 'baby-moon' before the youngest addition to the Hale family was to arrive only weeks away meant that the blonde had been bouncing between the pack.

"No, your mom said we have to look after you how we see fit. And sending you to bed with a horny teenager will only end in history repeating itself." Stiles quickly replied, shooting the girl a glare in his rearview mirror as he was already panicking about getting the gang together tonight; he didn't need another annoying voice pestering him.

"Oh, bite me," Nova mumbled under her breath before looking out the window in a tantrum. She watched as the cars blurred by, the storm outside prompting people to rush home. It was only when the jeep came to a stop that she finally lifted her head off the cold glass.

Stiles honked at his girlfriend, pulling her into a deep kiss which the blonde scrunched her nose up in disgust at before shuffling over to let Malia sit beside her after the boy she saw like a brother had finished his make-out session.

The three boys were quick to jump onto the Werecoyote about whether she had heard about if she had to go to summer school as her grades were dropping. Still, it was only when Liam seemed to dig himself a hole in the conversation that Nova quickly pinched his thigh so he would stop talking.

Nova could sense Malia's discomfort at her boyfriend seemingly telling everyone about her school failure, and she couldn't help but hold back a laugh when she realised the other couple's silent argument as they looked at each other before the Stilinski boy decided to drive off promptly.

"We should've left him chained to the tree."

The ride to the hospital was a short one. The only reason for it being to drop Liam and Nova off so his stepdad could take him home after his shift, the same with Scott's mom and the girl. And it wasn't long until the blonde sat in an empty part of the hospital, watching her boyfriend and Scott converse before the older werewolf made himself scarce.

Liam grinned at the teen as he turned around and made his way over to her. Luckily for the two, they had found a more secluded hallway, away from the crowds, which formed a few floors down due to the storm creating casualties.

"I can't believe they left us here. What do they expect us to do in a hospital." The Dunbar boy all but whined out as he dropped his body onto the small plastic chair next to Nova. The blonde only smiled mischievously before pressing the top half of her body against the boy sitting next to her.

"We could make out? I heard it burns calories, so technically it's like glorified lacrosse training." Nova finally responded, which soon caught her boyfriend's attention as he quickly leaned in and pressed his lips against hers.

The kiss was tender, gentle and loving. Surprising the duo as because they had hung out with the pack so often over the summer vacation, the only moments they truly got alone to be intimate tended to be rushed and desperate. But Liam seemed to enjoy taking his time with his girl, holding her rosy cheeks in his hands, brushing his thumbs over her smooth skin every so often.

It wasn't until the boy opened his mouth that the two began kissing with desire. The werewolf's hands soon fell to grab the girl's waist tightly as she started to pull on the long strands of hair which had formed on his head over the past few weeks.

The teen's lips were such a familiar taste to each other now; neither was shocked when Liam deepened the kiss and made their tongues slide together. In fact, it only sent flames down the girl's spine, prompting her to let out small moans, which were soon accompanied by the boy's grunts of satisfaction.

The sudden need for air pulled the blonde away, giggling slightly when the boy beside her chased after her lips again only moments later. Nova went to lean in again; however, it seemed as if the split second depart from one another had made Liam regain his senses.

"Scott's in trouble." The boy suddenly uttered out. His eyes flashed a golden yellow at hearing deputy Parrish talk about the creature that attacked him was now after his alpha. But Nova didn't have supernatural hearing, so she was perplexed once her boyfriend dragged her down the hospital halls and out into the storm.

Her feet almost dragged behind her as she got pulled around the place. From finding Stiles and Malia to eventually ending up at Beacon Hills High, the blonde was far too afraid to ask what was happening as she felt she was at least seven chapters behind her friends.

It seemed as if the group had turned up rather late to the events, as through the harsh rain, Nova could only make out the figures of her pack along with two other members. It wasn't until they cautiously approached the group that the Hale teen spotted the retreating figure of what seemed like a werewolf Scott had just beaten.

Nova was completely puzzled as to what was happening. As only twenty minutes prior, she was making out with her boyfriend in an abandoned hallway, no threat having been present in Beacon Hills for months. But now, that thought of finally being at peace was out the window.

And as the girl was acquainted with the new wolf in town, Theo, she couldn't help but not be interested in the slightest, even with his eyes trained on her. As in a matter of minutes, she slowly felt her happiness drift away. And for the first time in a long time, she felt alone.
