Chapter 4: Awakening

On their hands manifests a flaming sword. They took it from the air and begin rushing towards me-

[ Weapon.. I need a wea- ]

[ You need an attribute to have one Chiaro-kun~ Pathethic, aren't you? ]

[ Tsk, shut up. ]

While they are approaching me, I pick up the girl and flee from the squad of kni-

[ Are you sure about that, Chiaro-kun? If you go back to that forest, will you really escape? ]

[ It's not like I have more optio- ]

[ Fight, Chiaro-kun. Instead of running away, face it. ]

[ But I don't have any- ]

[ Look behind you- ]

I turn my back-

[ There are just eleven knights rushing towards you. ]

[ I can't defe- ]

[ You coward, if you go back to the forest, you might have more enemies to face. ]

[ But- ]

[ Fight, Chiaro, if you want to survive, you can't keep running away. ]

I put the unconscious girl down onto the grass-

I look up at the night sky-

While hearing the footsteps of the knights rushing towards me-

I close my eyes and breathe-

[ If I don't have any weapon- ]

[ That's right, Chiaro-kun. Don't let it stop you! ]

I open my eyes and I leap towards them. This time, instead of running away, I am facing while running towards the eleven knights-

One knight is a bit ahead of others, I increased my speed and-

He swings his flaming sword, but I move my whole body sideways to the right-

I then trap his wrist using my hands and-

Two knights came to his aid, swinging their swords-

Using all force I have, I pull the knight to my front and use him as a shield to fend off the attacks of the two other knights-

One knight manages to stop his sword mid-way, but the other one doesn't.. Upon contact with the flaming sword, the knight's left shoulder begins to burn-

The knight screams out of pain-

I gasp and-

[ This is.. A bad news ]

The fire on the shoulder of the knight begins spreading, causing me to let go of his wrist and him to drop his sword-

I crouch and pick up the sword and immediately run away to distance myself-

[ So if I touch the sword, the part of my body that made contact will burn- ]

[ And I have that same sword- ]

I release a sudden breath and-

[ 1, 2, 3, ..., 6, 7, 8- ]

There are eight knights approaching me, the other one is still screaming from the pain

I stop running away and turn my direction to the knights approaching me while holding the flaming sword using my right hand-

[ With this sword, I should manage to put up a fight against eight knights- ]
