The next morning rolled around a lot faster then I had anticipated. I felt like I had only just fallen asleep when the incessant vibration of my phone woke me up Groaning I silenced it before turning over crashing into a small petite body, I remember a lot from last night. A lot more then I had anticipated, after all when the boys and I usually go on nights out we drink ourselves into oblivion
Before I had the time to attempt to wake Riley up with the sweetest wake up call, the vibrations picked up again making me turn back over pushing myself up off of the bed leaving the bedroom to take the call
"This better be good" I groaned not even looking at the caller ID "Is that anyway to talk to your father" Dad said making me instantly scowl closing my eyes hoping this phone call wasn't going to lead to a lecture "What can I help you with?" I asked hearing some light chatter in the background
"Care to tell me why I'm stood in your dorm room right now and you are the only one not accounted for" He questioned making me roll my eyes "Last time I checked, I was a grown ass adult who didn't need my every move monitored" I rebutted "Watch your tone" He reprimanded making me shake my head

"You would already know what was on that desk had you bothered to show up yesterday" I said closing the door behind me "I had places to be James, you know that. I don't need to explain myself to-" He started "Do you not? Then what are you doing here? Or is that also an explanation I do not get" I asked "I came here to make sure that you had everything you needed for your school year" He said but I narrowed my eyes "I do, with no thanks to you" I muttered sitting on my bed "Who do you think paid for it all" He said darkly while I shook my head "Your child support paid for a portion sure, but majority of it came from me working thank you very much" I reminded him
"And when you are finished here you'll get to come join me at my-" He started making me scoff "If you truly think I'm going to join you at the end of this, you are more delusional then you look" I said "You have no idea the mess you left our family in when you decided to pick up and leave. I don't need anything from you and I certainly don't want anything either" I exclaimed
"You're being a fool James" He said placing the photo of me and Piper down on the desk
"When was the last time you saw her? You know your daughter" I asked earning a scowl from Dad "Oh wait, she isn't in line to carry on your legacy. She isn't worth your time of effort right Dad?" I suggested
"I'm not carrying it on either. Both of us would happily let the name die with us" I muttered opening the door "Now if you don't mind. I have work to be doing" I said looking at him before signalling to the door

Riley's POV
"Oh god my head" Michelle groaned coming into the kitchen the next morning, I'm not entirely sure when she came home. I pray it was not last night "Here you go" I chuckled handing her a cup of coffee "Do you remember anything from last night?" I asked but she glared at me "I know I woke up in a dorm room full of 3 boys instead of 4" She smirked "So that must have meant the final boy found someone to go home with" She said looking me up and down
"And from the blissful look on your face I can't help but put two and two together" She smirked while I rolled my eyes
"Can we just rewind to the fact you were in a dorm with 3 boys Michelle, please tell me you didn't-" I asked but her eyes widen before she frantically shook her head "I did not sleep with all three of them Riley! Get your head out of the gutter, I didn't sleep with any of them in the way you think" She sighed
"What on earth did you do then?" I laughed "Eldon, he's a cuddler apparently. He didn't know if James was coming back or not so we played it safe" She explained
"So next time Riles, feel free to give a girl a heads up instead of unintentionally cockblocking me" She sung walking back to her room "There won't be a next time" I called after hear before hearing her over the top laughter as she shut her door
