Daniel + Rissa = Chaos

AE-RA WOKE UP TO THE sun shining through the crack in the curtain. She heard Max's hushed voice coming from just outside the door. It sounded as if he was arguing with someone. She couldnt quite make out what he was saying since it was in dutch.

"Look Mom, I don't want to make her uncomfortable. We only just started seeing each other–"

He paused as his mother interrupted him. "Is it a crime for a mother to meet her sons girlfriend?" Max scratched his forehead and sighed. "I haven't asked her to be my girlfriend yet–"

"Well you said you've been getting to know one another for the past 4 months! I assumed you would have asked her by now."

"I was planning on asking her this evening over dinner."

"Well then there shouldn't be a problem with me meeting her then." Max felt like banging his head against the wall but thought against it, not wanting to scare Ae-ra or the cats. "I'll ask her."

Ae-ra watched as Max slowly opened the door and popped his head in to check if she was still sleeping. When he saw that she was awake he gave a guilty sigh. "I'm sorry love. I hope I didn't wake up." He climbed back into his spot next to her and pulled her closer. Ae-ra sighed in content, happy to feel his warm embrace again. "My Mom called." She hummed as a sign for him to continue. "She wants to meet you."

That made Ae-ra jolt up. The panicked look in her eyes made Max almost die from laughter. Ae-ra groaned in annoyance, "It's not funny!" She wacked his chest softly before cuddling up against him once again. "When does she want to meet me?"

Max raised his eyebrows in shock, not expecting her to agree so quickly. "What? I am your girlfrien–"

"No! Don't say the word!" Ae-ra gave him a confused look. "I planned everything out perfectly to surprise you tonight. So I'm gonna need you to rewind and rephrase your sentence."

Ae-ra rolled her eyes. "Forgive. Let me just go get the DeLorean real quick!" As she attempted to get up, Max grabbed her by her waist and pulled her back. With a quick peck to her lips Max then spoke, "You know what I mean, my love!"

Later on that morning Daniel, who Ae-ra  expected to be her distraction, had rocked up. The two of them had stopped for lunch at a nearby café and we're now discussing what they would do to pass the time.

"We could go irritate Lando?" Daniel sighed. "I already did that last night."

"We could go steal Lily from Alex?"

And that was how Ae-ra, Lily, Daniel and Alex landed up singing A Thousand Miles by Vanessa Carlton as they drove over to a nearby beach in Nice.

Max on the other hand was confused as to why he had this strange feeling. "There up to something." Charles, who was helping Max set up for his evening with Ae-ra, gave him a questioning look. "Well yes, obviously, you left Ae-ra and Daniel together. Alone. And unsupervised. For all you know they're probably in some sort of police van."

Max gave Charles a panicked look and the Monégasque was quick to reasure him, "It was just a joke I'm sure they're fine."

Max didn't believe that one bit.
