Y/N POV :

About three days passed since the incident, and three days since I had seen Dallas, I've seen the rest of the gang but they haven't seen him either, and that wasn't abnormal of him. He could dissappear for 2 weeks on end and just walk into my house like he hadn't been missing for days.

It was another hot day, the sun was beating down on me, I was walking on the sidewalk barefoot, in my sports bra, jeans and Dallys jacket around my waist, just in case I was out to long. I had my hands in my pocket and my face directed torwards the ground

I was humming a new song I had heard on the radio, 'Pain in my heart' by The Rolling Stones.

Where my baby be, Lord, no one knows

I finally looked up from the ground noticing the DX in the distance across the street.

I started running down the side of the road before running across the street.

Bad idea.

"What the hell are you doin'!?" I heard a man yell slamming on his breaks so he wouldn't hit me

"My bad sir!" I turned around rasing my arms up.

Maybe I should've been paying attention

Once I reached the DX I slowed my pace and wiped the beads of sweat forming on my forehead. I opened the door and my face was met with a gust of cold air and I heard the 'ding' of the bell from above the door.

Soda was at the counter counting money in the drawer, he looked up once he heard the bell above the door, and his face lit up

"Y/N!!" He yelled before running up from behind the counter to me and embracing me

I laughed "Hey Soda" he broke away from me grinning "what's up? How's business been today?" I asked walking over to the drink cooler and grabbing myself a coke

"Pretty slow, because of the heat but a few walkers coming in to cool off" he replied walking back over to the counter

"Did I hear that Y/N's here?" Steve asked wiping his hands with a rag and walking in from the car working portion of the place.

"Its me!" I grinnedwalking over to him and giving him a hug

"Hey girl" he smiled as he let go of me

"Hey steve" I smiled back before walking past him going to grab an ice cream from the cooler. I grabbed a Snickers ice cream bar and walked over to where Soda was standing behind the counter, and sat in the chair in the corner

"How much do I owe ya?" I asked before cracking the cold coke bottle's top off

"Nah, it's on the house," he waved it off "it's hot and you walked here from the house"

I took a sip from the Coke and smiled at him

---

We talked for a bit about the heat and random things

The DX was decently chilled so I decided to put Dally's jacket on.

The door rung and we all looked over to the door to see two younger girls, one about 12 years old with light brown hair and a girl no younger than 7 with bleach blond hair, walking into the DX

Soda got ready to help them "Wait Soda can I pleasee try it out?" I begged. He rolled his eyes and moved out of the way walking over next to Steve to watch me.

The two girls picked out two ice cream bars, water and a bag of chips

They placed the stuff on the counter and looked to me. I smiled at them
