“Vina, you're now a college student, what's your plan?,” her grandmother asked while eating. Nasa hapagkainan sila ngayon para sa kanilang breakfast.
“I'm planning to take an exam this coming Saturday Grandma. Ang kinuha kong course ay BSNED, I want to help people with disabilities,” Vina answered. This is her dream, to become a teacher, not just an ordinary teacher, but a teacher with the childrens with disabilities. She was influenced by her former adviser to become a SPED teacher.
“Hmm, that's good to hear, hija. Good luck!,” she smiled to what her grandma said and nod.
Natapos na silang kumain kaya naman nag kanya kanya na sila nang alis kung saan sila pupunta. Nagpaalam na si Vina sa kan'yang Lola na makikipagkita s'ya sa kan'yang boyfriend na si Drake and her grandmother just nodded.
Sumakay s'ya sa kan'yang scooter at humarurot papunta sa meeting place nila ng boyfriend niya na si Drake. They planned to meet sa tabing-dagat. Gustong gusto nila na magmuni-muni sa tabing-dagat. They always do this when they have free time.
“Hi baby,” sinalubong s'ya ni Drake ng isang malaking ngiti sa labi then hugged her tightly.
“God, I miss you so much,” napatawa si Vina saka kumalas sa yakap nila.
“Bolero, kakakita lang natin kahapon ah ta's miss mo na ako agad sows,” pabirong hinampas n'ya ang nobyo. “Masyado ka naman atang inlove sa akin Mr. Martinez,” sabi ni Vina tapos ay kumindat at ngumiti ng nakakaloka.
“Don't state the obvious Ms. Cortez na soon to be Mrs. Martinez,” sabi ng nobyo sabay kindat. Namula naman agad si Vina saka tumawa.
“What did you bring?,” she asked.
“Ofcourse, your favourite brownies and iced coffee,” agad naman kuminang ang mata ni Vina. Drake never fails to make her heart melt.
“Awee, thank you baby,” she then kissed Drake's cheeks. Drake's eyes widened and his cheeks turns to red.
“Ganda naman ng bayad mo sa'kin,” ngingiti-ngiting sabi ng lalaki. Hinampas ulit s'ya ni Vina saka kinuha na sakan'ya ang pagkain at nagsimula nang kainin.
Drake just stared while smiling to her girlfriend eating it lively. He's really lucky to have a girlfriend like her. For him, she's a perfect girlfriend. Hinding hindi n'ya kayang palitan si Vina kahit na sino pa yan.
They talked and laughed for hours. For them it was the best moment of their life.
AFTER 4 hours of staying there, they decided na umuwi na sa kani-kanilang bahay. At dahil overprotective itong si Drake ay sinabayan n'ya umuwi si Vina kahit na may sarili naman itong motor.
“It's okay baby, I can drive home on my own,” Vina said for the 10th times but Drake's answer is still the same.
“Kahit na, I should hatid you pauwi sainyo, it's a bit dark na, so it's delikado out there, please listen to me love, okay?,” Vina sighed and agreed to Drake.
“Good girl my love, tara na,” then they both started the engine. Lumarga na sila papunta sa bahay nila Vina.
After 30 minutes, nasa harap na sila ng bahay ni Vina. Nagpaalam na si Drake kay Vina.
“Bye love, see you tomorrow,” Vina waved goodbye to him and then Drake kissed her.
Hinintay muna ni Vina na mawala sa paningin n'ya si Drake bago pumasok sa loob. Nang makapasok s'ya ay agad bumungad sa kan'ya ang kan'yang grandma na nakaupo sa sala. It seems like grandma is waiting for her to come home.
“Grandma, I'm home,” lumapit s'ya saka hinalikan ang pisngi ng kan'yang Lola.
“Kumain ka na ba? I'll cook for you,” kahit na busog pa si Vina ay tumango s'ya at ngumiti. She cannot refuse it, napakasarap magluto ng kan'yang Lola, and she doesn't want to disappoint her too.
“Grandma, we have ate Lilia naman, huwag mo na pagurin ang sarili mo,” ate Lilia's been our kasambahay since i was a child but we considered her as a family.
“I want to cook for you okay, so just sit there and wait,” she just shooked her head and do what her grandmother said.
Agad na kuminang ang mata ni Vina nang makita ang putahe na nasa harapan n'ya. One of her favourite dish.
“Wow Grandma, you really know how to make me hungry huh,” she said then started eating the adobong chicken.
Her grandma chuckled,“ I know that's your favourite dish so yeah, and I added extra potatoes because I know that's your favourite part on my adobo,” Vina grinned. Grandma really know her, that's because she's the one who raised me since I was a child because my parents sadly passed away the moment I was born.
My mother died from giving birth to me while my father got an accident rushing to go to my mother. What a tragic incident. Hindi ko man lang sila nasilayan. But well, I'm still thankful that my grandma is here for me and also the others that I'm living with in this house.
I'm thankful that grandma still agree na magkaroon ako ng boyfriend even though she has experience sa grandfather namin na nagcheat. He cheated to my grandmother, grandma said he's such a good guy so he didn't expect that it would happen.
“How was it? Hindi ko masabing masarap kasi tumatanda na ako, baka naiba na yung lasa,” agad naman na umiling iling si Vina.
“No grandma, mas sumarap pa nga ih,” and then nag thumbs up s'ya. Grandma chuckled saka napailing iling.
NANG matapos na s'yang kumain ay nagligpit s'ya at hinugasan ang mga kinainan. Vina doesn't want to bother ate Lilia and their other kasambahay's.
After that, grandma decided na mag grocery kami today. At kapag isasama n'ya talaga ako, talagang hindi lang grocery ang mangyayari, mag s-shopping din.
“I'll take a bath muna grandma, please wait for me,” pacute n'yang sabi saka agad na tumakbo sa kwarto n'ya sa second floor para maligo.
After ilang minutes, natapos na rin s'yang maligo. Hindi ganun katagal kasi hindi naman s'ya masyadong maarte, not like others na ilang oras ng nasa cr hindi pa rin tapos, I wonder what they're doing there, nagp-pray ba sila or doing a ritual. Vina just laughed at that thought.
Vina is wearing a black sleeveless bodycon dress na talagang mahahalata ang kurba ng kan'yang katawan paired with a white rubber shoes. She also added a white cardigan para in case maginaw doon and also for fashion. Then just clipped her hair with a hair claw and wears her anti-radiation eyeglasses.
Pagkatapos ay bumaba na s'ya sa hagdanan papunta sa ibaba while putting her casio watch.
“Grandma, I'm ready,” sabi niya ng makababa na then she smiled. Her grandmother stared at her then smiled at lumapit sa kan'ya.
“You really looked like you're mother, napakagandang bata mo hija, nasa lahi na talaga natin ang pagiging maganda,” Vina laughed on her grandmothers remarks.
“Yes grandma, saan pa ba ako magmamana,” they smiled each other for a second then decided na lumabas na.
“Let's go my dear, baka magabihan pa tayo,” she nodded at lumakad na sila.
They used her grandmother's car. Si Vina na rin ang nag drive dahil hindi sila nag hire ng driver, walang ibang lalaki sa bahay nila dahil lahat ng mga kasambahay ay puro babae.
Inistart na ni Vina ang makina ng sasakyan at saka dahan dahan na nagmaneho patungo sa mall kung saan sila mag g-grocery ng kan'yang Lola.
