Meera woke up to the gentle rays of the morning sun streaming through her window, signaling the start of another school day. With a sigh, she rolled out of bed and began her morning routine, slipping into her crisp white check shirt and carbon blue skirt. She tied her hair up in high ponytail and checked herself in the mirror one last time before heading downstairs.

In the kitchen, her mother was preparing breakfast, while her father sat at the table, engrossed in the morning newspaper. Meera's younger sister Siya, a mischievous third-grader, was already up, her laughter filling the air as she play with her barbie dolls.

"Good morning, Meera," her mother greeted with a warm smile. "Breakfast is almost ready. Hurry up and finish getting ready for school."

Meera nodded and quickly grabbed her lunch box before heading out the door, her backpack slung over her shoulder. As she walked to school as her school was 20 minutes distance so she prefers walking , she couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation building within her. Today was a free period, her geography teacher said that he will not attending the school today for some reasons, which meant a break from the usual routine of classes and lectures.

As the 4th period bell rang the students take the permission from PHE teacher and started going to the ground,  Meera and her friend Rani found their usual spot under the shade of a tree, a way from the hustle and bustle of the playground. They chatted about their classmates, sharing the latest gossip and stories from their lives.

"So, did you hear about what happened in class yesterday?" Rani asked, her eyes sparkling with excitement. As Rani is a extrovert girl all the gossip and news she knows. And by her Meera also got to know about it.

Meera shook her head, eager to hear the latest news. "No, what happened?"

Rani launched into a detailed account of a prank pulled by one of their classmates, and Meera giggles hearing her. But even as she laughed along with Rani, Meera's attention kept drifting towards the volleyball court, where Lakshya was engrossed in a game with his friends.

"He's so good at sports, isn't he?" Rani remarked, following Meera's gaze.

Meera nodded absentmindedly, her eyes never leaving Lakshya's figure as he moved gracefully across the court. Rani smile seeing her friend because she knows that Meera started to like him but she will not accept the reality.

Meera and Rani chatted under the tree, Rani couldn't help but notice Meera's frequent glances towards Lakshya on the volleyball court. With a mischievous twinkle in her eye, Rani nudged Meera teasingly.

Meera sighed, resigned to the fact that Rani wouldn't let her off the hook so easily. But despite the teasing, she appreciated having a friend like Rani who could always bring a smile to her face, even on the most ordinary of days. After all she is her best friend.

As the day progressed, Meera found herself lost in a sea of thoughts, her mind drifting back to her family and the warm bond they shared.

During lunch break, Meera joined her classmates in the canteen, her mind still occupied with thoughts of her family. She couldn't wait to go home and share the events happened in with her.

But for now, Meera focused on enjoying the company of her friends, savoring the simple joys of youth and friendship. And as she glanced once more towards the volleyball court, where Lakshya stood tall and confident, she couldn't help but feel a sense of hope stir within her heart.

........................................................................

Meera stepped into her room after a long day at school, greeted by the familiar sight of her shared space with her younger sister, Siya. As she began to unpack her backpack, Siya bounced onto the bed, eager to share her latest adventures from school.

"Guess what, Meera Di? Today in art class, we learned how to make paper flowers!" Siya exclaimed, her eyes shining with excitement.

Meera smiled at her sister,  her heart warmed by the bond they shared. "That sounds like fun, Siya. Did you make one for me?"

Siya nodded vigorously, reaching into her backpack to retrieve a colorful paper flower she had crafted. "Here, Meera Di! I made it just for you."

Touched by her sister's gesture, Meera took the paper flower and placed it on her desk, where she could admire it throughout the day. Despite they always arguing with each other on simple things but still they can't live without each other.

After spending some time catching up with Siya, Meera headed downstairs to the inviting aroma of her mother's cooking. Then she, Siya and her mother gathered around the table for lunch, sharing stories from their day and laughing at each other's antics.

Meera's mother served up a delicious meal, and as they ate, Meera love home-cooked food which is made by her mother and the warmth of her family's company. Throughout the meal, Meera and her mother engaged in heartfelt conversations about school, friends, and dreams for the future, and also some gossip about their neighbors strengthening their bond as mother and daughter.

After lunch, Meera helped her mother with the dishes while Siya cleared the table while they chatter with each other filling the kitchen with laughter.

With her chores done, Meera settled down at her desk to complete her homework, her mother nearby to offer assistance whenever needed. As the afternoon turned into evening, Meera took a break from her studies to spend some quality time with her family, watching TV together and sharing in each other's company.

As the day ends, Meera sleep with a sense of anticipation bubbled within her about the thought of next day. Her days always went like go to school, then study, spent time with her best friend while stealing countless glances at her crush which has become her favorite hobby, then home spent time with family, then do homework and then sleep while dreaming about her crush.
