.Lita stood at the end of the long line of bridesmaids, feeling like an afterthought amidst the sea of women already bestowed with the title. She couldn't shake off the sense of tokenism, wondering why her mother had bothered to "honor" her with this role when it seemed so insignificant compared to the others.

Nevertheless, she plastered on her best smile, eager to get through the ceremony. As the crowd rose from their seats, a loud melody filled the air, signaling the beginning of the procession.

Her mother's elegant figure descended the stairs from the grand building, her white dress adorned with delicate mesh, her hair elegantly styled in curls framing her face. For a moment, Lita glimpsed something rare—a genuine smile gracing her mother's lips. It was a sight she hadn't seen in a long time, leaving her to ponder whether her presence here had prompted that smile or if it was merely for show. Deep down, she knew the answer.

Charlie stood at the end of the aisle, hands clasped in front of him, his eyes fixed on Maria with an unmistakable look of love. Despite everything Maria had put them through, that look remained, and it ignited a spark of anger within Lita.
