II. | Second Chance at First Line

"I'LL BE HOME BY TONIGHT" Akira said over the phone. Tsukiko was standing in the hallway

"Good, because things are getting chaotic here" Tsukiko replied

"I know, I know. Just keep an eye on Scott. Derek is there to help" Akira said

"I know he is, but the boys are convinced he's evil and they won't listen to reason. Like, they think I'm wrong? As if I'm not a bak- anyway" Tsukiko said rolling her eyes

"It'll be okay. I'll be home soon. I'll talk to you later. I gotta go" Akira said

"Okay, bye" She said before hanging up. The boys left the locker room in their lacrosse gear. Scott had a worried look on his face. He had discovered that Allison's father was a hunter last night. Tsukiko could've easily explained that to him if he would've listened, but, boys will be boys. Tsukiko followed the team outside and onto the field, except she took a seat on the bench beside Stiles. Coach blew the whistle

"Let's go! One-on-ones from up top. Jackson, take a long stick, today. Attaboy" Coach said

"Look, I just think you're not looking at the full picture. There is no way that Derek isn't the guy who bit Scott. Are there any other werewolves in town?" Stiles asked

"Well, yes but he's not exactly lucid.." Tsukiko trailed off as Coach blew his whistle again. Peter, who had been left unresponsive from the Hale fire 6 years ago. Tsukiko had always had a strong bond with the man, and visited him every night to make sure he had peaceful dreams. He was like a father to her

"Exactly-" Stiles was cut off

"Derek isn't an Alpha, though. He cannot turn people into werewolves. His eyes are blue and not red" Tsukiko explained

"There's different eye colors?" Stiles asked confused. Tsukiko face palmed

"Yes, they mean different things" Tsukiko said

"Okay, well you knew Derek 6 years ago.. maybe in that time he became an Alpha and decided to take a bite out of Scott. This isn't the same Derek you knew. He's dangerous and you need to stay away from him" Stiles said. Tsukiko glared at him

"You talk to me as if I know nothing of the supernatural world.. I know more about this shit then either of you can comprehend. I am a baku-" Tsukiko was cut off

"Yeah, you can eat dreams" Stiles said sarcastically. Tsukiko scoffed

"You know nothing.. we don't just eat dreams, we can do more than that. We can eat everything that makes, you.. you. We are powerful creatures and that is why the other species remain in peace. They fear us" Tsukiko explained

"You can't even fight. You can be killed easily" Stiles retorted. Tsukiko just shook her head

"This vessel can be killed easily. We can be born, but we cannot die. The kitsune's were the first to learn of this.. You and Scott fail to understand that none of this is a joke. There are hunters in town and Scott needs to lay low. I need you both to listen to me" Tsukiko said

"We won't work with Derek. He's bad news" Stiles replied

"When Scott ends up dead.. I wonder if you'll think the same way" Tsukiko said before getting up and walking off. Stiles could only stare at her as she walked away

"WHY WON'T THEY LISTEN TO ME?!" Tsukiko yelled out angrily at her brother who had just returned home

"Because they're stupid. Derek is the only one who can truly help Scott" Akira replied

"Scott is going to end up dead. He's dating an Argent! And her dad tried to kill him last night!" Tsukiko exclaimed
