Unspoken Truth

I looked at myself in the mirror and sighed. It's my first day as a Grade 12 Senior High School student in Sacred Heart School - Ateneo de Cebu and it's also my first time to attend a school after the incident happened one year ago . I don't remember my past even what happened the day of my accident.

My parents homeschooled me for one year that's why it's my first time attending a real school after a year. Sa loob ng isang taon pagpapagaling lang ang ginawa ko, mabuti nalang palaging nasa tabi ang magulang ko.

"Roseyy" my mom called me outside my room.

"Come in, mom" sigaw na sabi ko

My mom immediately smiled at me when she saw me looking at myself. "Why, anak?" she gently asked me

"I'm just nervous mom" I answered honestly

"You will be fine, my love. You are the sweetest and kindest person, your classmates will like you" I pouted and hugged my mom "Thank you for taking care of me mom"

"You're my daughter, my love! Of course I would take care of you" she said while caressing my hair

"Should we go now? You're father is already waiting at you downstairs" I nodded and grabbed my small bag before heading downstairs.

"Oh! My daughter looked so pretty in her outfit" my father exclaimed as soon as he saw me

"Ginawa niyo naman akong elementary eh" nahihiyang sabi ko "my love, we are just happy to see you going to school after what happened"

I smiled. "Don't worry, dad. I will be fine"

After dropping me off at school, my parents waved goodbye with a smile plastered on their faces. I immediately went to open space near the Canteen of the Eduardo Aboitiz Senior High School Building to find my section. I'm currently wearing a white t-shirt and mom jeans, paired with my white sneakers and beige cardigan.

7:30AM pa naman ang start ng klase may oras pa ako mag libot. Hinahanap ko rin kung saan ang classroom ko, hindi pa naman ako masyado pamilyar dito.

Napahawak ako sa sentido nang mapagtanto na hindi ko na alam kung saan ang daan pabalik sa SHS building. Bumuntong-hininga ako bago pinaypay ang sarili gamit ang kamay dahil sa katangahan na ginawa ko.

"Omaygash late naako, bakit ba kasi ako nahantong sa ganito " mahinang bulong ko 

I looked up at the sky before closing my two hands, praying that someone would save me from my embarrassing situation.

"Excuse me, mi--"

"---AY PUTANGINA" I immediately covered my mouth when some of the students looked on our way.

"Omg! I'm sorry po, bakit naman po kasi nang gugulat po kayo" I said and looked at him. He threw an amusement smile before nodding.

"I'm sorry. I was just wondering why aren't you still in the classroom, malapit na mag simula eh" sabi niya

Napakamot ako sa ulo at pekeng ngumiti sakanya. "Ano kasi.." bitin na sabi ko

"Hindi ko alam saan ulit ang daan sa SHS Building at... pati yung room ko" mabilis na sabi ko nang makitang hinihintay niya ang susunod na sasabihin ko

"Do you already know your section?" tanong niya

I nodded and showed him a piece of paper where I wrote my section. "Can you help me find my room please?"
