Welcome and thank you for clicking on A Charitable Scandal (previously titled The Business of Love and Lies)!
So this story started out as a script for an otome game (a dating sim/visual novel for women) but the game was bigger than I could handle and I didn't want to have a completed script collecting dust. This is my attempt to translate the script to a novel. Admittedly, some things got lost in translation. Some aspects of the story made more sense when it was interactive and included other male interests, but now falls a bit flat. Yeah, I know that's not the best way to sell the story, but I like to be honest. Still, I think most of it translates just fine. The biggest problem is Emily and Isaac's role in the story. That's been removed in the revision which will be published to Kindle and paperback in July 2019 and will also include an exclusive extended epilogue titled "Rules for Survival!" For now, though, the rough draft is available in all it's messy glory!
