After eating and Harry had finished fixing himself, we were both doing research on the spell.
"I think this will work."
I glanced up at him. "You want to bond with me?"
"I should be asking that."
"What do you mean?"
"These next few years are going to be hard."
"Yeah, I'm going to be your enemy at some point..."
"I have nightmares."
"Yeah?"
He pointed at his scar and paled. "Very realistic ones."
"Well I'll be there."
"You don't think he'll be suspicious?"
I shrugged. "We'll deal with it when it happens."

"If we're bonding with each other you need to understand that we can't keep secrets from each other."
"Yeah, but if I have a mission you can't stop me."
"..."
"I'll be killed if you do."
He sighed. "But what if it's something crazy like killing someone?"
"...Then promise me you won't hate me."
"...Draco...you're not saying you would..."
"I wouldn't unless it was dire."
"But-"
"Desperate times Harry."
"That doesn't mean you have to go to desperate measures..."
"Do you not care about being in pain forever?"
"I won't live forever Draco."

"Well then stop me if you want. But please understand my beliefs."

Harry looked at me in a way that was somewhere between surprised and pissed. "..."
"What?"
"Don't say it like that."
"What?"
"You made it seem like you don't want to be my bond mate."
"I'm just presenting how horrid I am so that you aren't surprised."
He tossed his book at me and I dodged it. "Stupid!"
