It Italy we say "chi trova un amico, trova un tesoro" -translated- "Who finds a friend, finds a treasure".
But sadly, life isn't just about friends: everyone in their life has known someone who made them wish they had never met that someone.
They're the so-called "toxic people" or "toxic friends": if we don't get rid of them, they will slowly take control of our life and ruin our happiness.
Sometimes there aren't many things we can do about it (shit happens, and unluckily people happen too!), but often there are many signals that can make us understand when someone is not good for our life:
1) they make you insecure about yourself
2) they're always talking about their problems and never listening to yours, thinking they're the only ones going through stuff (in my opinion they're absolutely the worst!)
3) they're always talking bad about someone for no reason (and they probably talk bad about you)
4) they love being in the centre of attention and get envious when the attention is for you
5) they lie a lot but get really angry if you tell even the smallest lie to them!
6) if we are talking about a boyfriend/girlfriend, if they often get jealous/angry/too possessive for no reason, they're probably hiding something. (The ones who are too jealous without a true reason are the same who are more prone to cheat!! Be careful!)
