~Chapter 11~

"Great! You're here."  She remarked as I entered the Ammunition chamber.
"I got something for you."

"Really?" I exclaimed, raising my eyebrows as I followed her to her working desk. She brought out a small wooden box, opened it and brought out two black sword hilts.

"Take em." She said.

I reached into the box and took them out. They felt cold. A bit too light weighted for a hilt. They were probably made of steel. On the hilts were drawings of dragons.

I honestly didn't know what these were or what function they were supposed to serve.

"Ummm thanks but I'm not pretty sure what I'm supposed to do with sword hilts." I said out of honesty.

She smiled.

"Check below the hilts." She directed.

I raised both hilts up to my eye level and there were some sorta buttons under them. Obvious of how to operate them, I tapped both hilts gently against my thighs and a smooth blade instantly sprung out of each of the hilts.

They looked like katanas. They definitely had to be.

I knew it. I thought to myself.

The blades were dark and smooth. Not too long. I guessed they were made of dark steel. Both blades had fullers that gave a bright-blue glow at the center of the blades.

"The steel is made out of the hardest substance on earth which is the carbonado diamond, giving it the ability to cut through anything. It's light enough to give you the perfect balance. I designed both hilts not to absorb heat. I call it THE GLADIUS." She said as she finished her little bio with a smirk on her face.

I waved the blades around as I admired them. They were light and perfectly balanced just as she mentioned.

The dragon carvings on the hilt also gave a bright blue glow.

"Wow. T-t-this is amazing." I stuttered in appreciation.

"Just a little something to say thank you for saving my life in the courtyard the other day." She said, this time smiling.

"You're......"

"-I know, I know. I'm a genius." She cut me off before I could finish my sentence.

I opened wide my arms going in for a big hug.

"Whoa!! Careful!" She cautioned. "They're Sharp."

I tapped both hilts on my thighs again and the blades retracted back into the hilts. I placed them in their sheaths on either sides of my hips.

"Now you can hug me." She smiled. I hugged her tight as we giggled.

..........

They stood in a circle in Chloe's chamber as Moira and I walked in.
Max stood in the middle together with Chloe.

"What's up?" I asked with affiliation to why they had said for us to gather up here.

"Your savior's got a plan." Chloe answered with sarcasm.

"Great! Let's hear it." I remarked, ignoring Chloe's statement.

"We can't go through the tunnel!" Max said. My eyes shot up at him.
