Chapter 8 - The Meet Up

"You'll come right, [your name]?"

"..."

"Um [your name]?"

Leon snapped his fingers in front of your face.

"E-Eh? I'm sorry what were we talking about?"

"Ne, you need to stop spacing out!" Asaina said.

"Uwahh! S-Sorry! Did I space out again? I'm so sorry!"

"A-Anyways! [your name] you're coming, right?" Naegi asked.

"Coming where?"

"Starbucks! Tomorrow, we're meeting up there, then we'll go watch a movie" Sayaka said.

"E-Eh?! A m-meet up?! Outside of s-school?!"

"Um, yeah? S'what? No big deal" Leon said as he lay down on the grass.

It was Friday and as usual the 6 of you were hanging out underneath the tree in the school yard.

"Um, I don't know..."

"Aw come on [your name]! It'll be fun!" Sayaka said.

"Please!! It'll be no good without you there!" Asahina pleaded.

"U-Um okay then.."

"Yay!"

"Then it's settled, we'll meet up at Starbucks at 2PM, then we'll go catch a movie at 4 that'll leave us 2 hours to hang out at Starbucks, sounds good?" Sayaka asked.

Asahina, Leon, and Naegi nodded.

"Alrighty then!"

"Wait, You're coming too, right Togami-kun?" Asahina asked.

Togami was sitting under the shadow of the tree, he was so quiet you almost forgot he was even there.

"Hmph" he said and he gave you a side glance. "I suppose".

"Terrific! It's settled then!"

The next day you waited nervously in front of Starbucks. The others haven't arrived yet and you were all alone.

To be honest, this was your first meet up with friends, outside of school. And you were really nervous.

"Don't think about it too much"

"E-Eh?"

You looked up to find Togami placing his hand on your head.

"You know, you turn really red when you're nervous" Togami said.

"B-Byakuya! When did you get here?"

"My driver just dropped me off" he said as he pointed to a slick black limousine driving away.

"A limo.. Why am I not surprised" you laughed.

Seeing you laugh Togami turned away, hiding a blush.

"Eh Byakuya, are you alright? You look sorta red"

"I-I'm fine"

"Anyways, since Byakuya has always been really popular, this kind of thing must be a breeze to you, right?"

"What kind of thing?"

"You know, hanging out with friends outside of school. You must be so used to it by now, must be nice" you said a little hint of sadness in your tone.

"You've never hung out with friends before?"

"I don't have friends, remember? It's weird that you seem surprised"
