My head hasn't been quiet in a long time.
Constantly filled with worries, songs, and thought
Even as I fall asleep my brain is buzzing loudly
Going seemingly a mile a minute
But if my head was quiet what would that mean
I wouldn't have a song in the background
I would not think of tea or rain or friends
It would be completely quiet
As if in a very dark room with no other people
Quiet and frightening
And if I become quiet can I become loud again?
Will the buzz and the noise ever come back
But if I start again would I ever want it to be quiet again?
So yes my head hasn't been quiet in a very long time
But who would want to be locked in a room with no light and only the sound
of your own heartbeat to keep you company
