CHAPTER 1:NEW MANAGER?

The sound of birds chirping wakes me up from my sleep. The clock right now is showing that it is 8:00 a. m in the morning. I took a bath with a peaceful feelings before getting dressed. After i ate my breakfast, i went to my workplace.

After i changed into my work outfit, i immediately went to the counter. I tidied myself out before a smile making its way to my face.

"Welcome, sir. What do you want to have?".

SKIP FORWARD..

My worktime has come to an end. I tiredly sigh before leaning my head against the wall. Suddenly someone pinched my cheek. I opened my eyes to my bestfriend, Kim Taehyung. I just glared at him playfully while he grinned.

" What are you doing?". My voice broke the silence.

"Waiting for you. Don't you remember that today there is a new manager and we will hold a welcome party?". He said.

"Wait... A new manager? Why didn't i know about this?". He just shrugged.
And i sighed again.

SKIP FORWARD..

We all smiled widely at the new manager. He's good-looking. But he just looked at us with a poker face.

"Welcome, manager-nim! ~". Our head chef said and we all bowed.

"Thank you for held a party for me but from now on, i wish that there will be no such thing like this anymore.",the new manager said making our smiled withered a little.

"My name is Leo and i hope we can work well in the future."

We clapped at his words.

A MONTH LATER..

This is hell!!! He's ridiculous! Want to know what happened?

Flashback 1

"Who's in charge of the ingredients?", he asked.

Sehun, the one who's in charge of the ingredients hold his hand up.

Leo walked to him with a grim expression before throw him a tomato, making his uniform dirtied. Sehun just stayed silent.

"Do you know why i did this?", he asked Sehun who shook his head.

"The tomatoes are not fresh, so do the meats and the fishes. We are known as an excellent restaurant because of our good dishes. But how can we maintain the title IF the ingredients are not fresh?".

"I'm sorry, manager-nim. I'll replace it soon.", Sehun said.

"I'll let this one slide. Make sure this is not gonna happen anymore. You're all dismissed."

Flashback 2

"Everyone come over."

We all immediately stand in front of him.

"Who's the last one who leaves the restaurant every day?"

"I am, manager-nim." Irene said.

"Did you make sure to close the electrical devices and air-cons?"

She nodded.

"Then, why did the electrical bill goes up more than the budget we made?"

"I'm sorry, manager-nim". She bowed.

"I'll have to cut 10% of your salary this month to remind you about your mistake."

She just nodded.

Flashback 3

"What are you guys doing?" he asked sternly.

"We were resting, sir.", Jimin said.

"Then what about the customers outside? They were waiting. What would you do if we're having a great loss because we're lacking customers?"

"We know, sir. And we're sorry but right now it is our break time.",i tried to reasoned up.

"I don't want to hear your excuses. Right now, i need all of you to get back to work because tine waits for no man."

Flashback ended..

It's tiring to work with this man. He really didn't care about the employees's well-being. I really wanna quit right now but i didn't because i need money to live my life.

I take a breath of relief watching my worktime has ended. After i change my clothes, i went to get my belongings at my locker. But, when i'm done packing my belongings, Leo barged in to see me zipping my bag.

"Hello,manager-nim. It's time to go home. I'll go first. Good night." i said as i bowed before getting to the door. As i walked out of the door, i immediately ran for my dear life. Who knows what does he want? I don't want anything to with him. In my way, i saw Jimin smiling at me while making his way towards me. I just smiled at him as he reached me.

"Hi, Y/N. What are you doing here?"

"Hi, Jimin. I'm on my way to get home. You?"

He just smiled while pointing at the convinience store. I just nodded.

"Well, okay then. Bye. Let's meet again tomorrow." i smiled before continuing my walk, not waiting for him to open his mouth.

But.. As i walked through a dark alley, i could feel someone is following me.
I tried to stay calm and walk faster but the footsteps keeps getting closer from behind me. Before i could run, someone pulled me to him while covering my mouth. I struggled against his grips but he's too strong. The person shushed me.

"It's me, Leo. Right now, i need you to calm down, ok? And you better not be screaming if you don't want to be rape." he said making me turn my head to him confusely. He just turn my head to the side and i could see two figures running down the alley.

"We lost her. I can't believe it!! If only that man didn't dirtied my shirt!" the figure grab his hair in frustration while the other figure patting his back saying that there will be more girls who will use this path tomorrow. In the end, the two figures leave.

The breath that i have been holding, slowly been huffed away. I turn myself to see Leo who looked at me with a longing face.

"What happened?" i asked him.

He just stayed silent and before i knew it, he buried my face in his neck.

WHATTHEFREAKINGTHINGHAPPENEDHERE???!!!!!

I pushed him away a little while looking at him with a confused face.

"Manager-nim? How did you know i'm here? Who's those two guys? Why did you that earlier?"

My mouth can't stop spouting questions making him covered my mouth with his palm.

"Firstly, i didn't know that you're here, i just saw you. Second, i don't know those two guys but they have been following you from behind so i just crashed into one of them with my coffee so that they lose concentration.
And for the third..... no comment. "

I just looking at him suspiciously making his face red.

" I don't know what to say but i'm grateful because you've helped me. Thank you, manager-nim. " i bowed. He just saying it's nothing and quickly went away.

Leo is weird tonight....
