IN THE GLASS COUNTRY

Arise and follow me, I know a deep forest path, serene and frail
Where diamonds shimmer, and astronauts are a burning grail
And there is a body of water to the south of a boundless ravine
We can mount the stairs of our spirits and the spaces between

The kingdom I speak about is not for the trembling low and shy
It is a most marvelous land, where our fingers can touch the sky
Where we can pray day and night till the sleepy rise of the moon
Don't be afraid it's heart is purer than the reflections of a lagoon

Give me your hand let me take you to the edge of the milky way
Where the wind can whisper truths into our ears without sway
As we perform a dance ceremony under the lamps of the night
This environment immerses one with desires and dreams ignite

To what shores have you flown to seeking leisure and loosening
To deeply immerse self with gloomy springs and wind listening
We will need no other joy, no other longing will trouble us again
Except the song of doves and the chilly fragranced midnight rain

I am listening, go on and tell me your long tarrying ancient tale
Moments of outreach and emollient turmoil, pour it to the dale
If you seek companionship and truly deep friendship, I am here
Waiting for you in your dreams, in the glass country of mug air.
