Even as I exited the Uber in front of the airport gates, I was still having a hard time accepting this was really happening.

Work had been insane since I had accepted Kevin's request, to compensate for the fact that neither I nor Lex would be there for most of the week. I had also been catching up on the partnership to understand the purpose of it.

It was an incredible project that Kev and Lex had been working on for years, and it was finally happening. The tech supergiant would sell Kelex batches of brand new smartphones at factory price, so we could install our own operating system, developed especially for various kinds of disabilities. It would be the first of its kind, entirely dedicated to people in a situation of handicap.

The set up of the phone was to be very easy and could be done in a matter of minutes. It would also have a plethora of accessories, meant to make the phone as adapted as possible to its owner. I had seen graphs, prototypes, simulations... It was all ready to be launched, all that was needed being the phones the Korean company would provide.

Kelex was already the world leader for what they did, as not that many companies were involved in disabled minorities. This would boost them even further into that lead, opening worldwide markets, including Europe, which they were eager to get into.

As I walked into the relatively quiet airport, pulling my suitcase behind me, I tried to remember all the numbers and facts I'd learned for the trip. I was having a hard time wrapping my head around the timing of our flight, not used to traveling that far. Our plane took off at six, and after an eleven hour flight, it would be 9 PM on Monday when we'd land in Seoul. What should have been Monday morning would be Monday evening. Sixteen hours would be robbed from us, and my mind refused to let it make sense. According to Lex, we'd gain five hours on our way back, but I was trying to understand how that way would work before I could focus on the other one.

The jet lag would be very hard on us, the sixteen hours of difference impossible to get accustomed to in such a short amount of time. Kevin had explained it would be rough for the entirety of our three days there, and I'd just have to run on coffee and Red Bulls. This little trip to Korea was definitely not for leisure, and I'd have to come back if I wanted to do anything touristic.

I spotted Lex waiting by the coffee shop we'd agreed to meet at. He was looking devastatingly handsome, and I was coming to the conclusion that I'd never get used to the sight of him wearing dark button-up shirts. There was literally only one man in this world like him, between his intelligence and movie-star good looks, and he was mine.

God, I'm one lucky woman...

He noticed me from afar, and even with the distance that separated us, I could see the appreciation in his eyes as he observed me approach.

I was wearing a light pink silk shirt, tucked in the best jeans I owned, and a black blazer. At my feet, I had a pair of leather wedge boots that reached just under my knees, with platform heels that were flat enough for me to not fear for my balance every waking minute. I'd been delaying my visit to the hairdresser for a few months now, which meant my hair was long enough for me to tie them in a high ponytail, which I'd done for comfort, not wanting to fight against my curls for the eleven hours flight. In an effort to look more professional, I'd even removed the extra piercings I had in my ears, only wearing two medium-sized gold hoops.
