☆ Chapter Seven ☆

"Why did you save me, Kokichi?" Saihara spoke in a hushed tone, not planning to look up into Oma's eyes anytime soon. Afraid that he would be tempted to actually accept his offer on getting married.

There were a couple of moments of unbearable silence before Kokichi began running his thumb along the side of Shuichi's face, staring into his golden eyes.

"I always told you how much I've longed to have your eyes on me when we were younger--"

"Kokichi--" Saihara began to interject.

"--Fine, fine..." Oma sighed and frowned at the blue haired boy.

Shuichi could feel Kokichi's disappointment without even looking at him directly. But, he finally built up the courage to look back at Kokichi. His theories were correct. 




Kokichi, had in fact, been frowning. Even after not seeing the prince for years, Saihara knew he was genuinely sad.



But, still he needed an answer from him. Just as Shuichi went to speak, Oma spoke up first.

"Do you not remember, Saihara-chan...?" Kokichi stammered out to Saihara, his voice slightly faltered with emotion.


Shuichi's heart flipped and, he immediately remembered what he was talking about.
