Forgiveness (a trolls world tour story)

Part 2

Barbs pov

"well that could not have gone worse" branch remarks as we watch the leader of the techno trolls swim away, cradling his fish beat thingy in his arms

"I don't understand!" Poppy says, visibly upset "All the others forgave you! I thought Trollex of all trolls would be the most willing, I mean why would he have stronger feelings of hatred towards you than the others"

"Well..." I say uncomfortably, shifting awkwardly/

"What did you do?!" Poppy says, turning toward me and putting her hands on her hips

"I didn't like physically hurt him or anything! it's just when I was annoyed during the tour and wanted to see someone cry, y'know to feel better. I occasionally... you know told him he was a horrible king and I may have denied him food a few times like 2 out of three meals a day he was just such an easy target!" I say quickly

"Barb!" Poppy looked shocked "that's horrible!" 

I sigh "I know, I know, I've changed but maybe he doesn't understand that"

"yeah probably cause you basically just said to him pretty much exactly what you used to, not to mention almost killing his button fish thing," Branch says, tactless as usual

"I know" I reply "For some reason he just makes me so mad sometimes"

"well it's gonna be a lot harder to get him to like you now," Poppy says thoughtfully

"Maybe we can ask dj for help" Branch wonders

"Suki?" Poppy asks looking in his direction

"yeah I'm pretty sure King Trollex likes her, have you seen the way they talk to each other whenever Trollex visits our village"

"I don't want him to forgive me cause of Suki" I turn to tell branch, surprisingly I really mean it "I want him to like me cause of me"

Poppy smiles, sighs, and puts a hand over her heart "You really have changed, but it might be useful to have him talk to DJ first so that you speak to him in a good mood"

I raise an eyebrow "You know popsqueak  you're more devious than people give you credit for"

"why thank you" she answers "Now to suki!"

later in DJ's pod:

"Sure I don't mind coming to hang out with Trollex, but why me?" Suki asks

"cause," Branch says "he likes you-"

"your type of people!" Poppy cut him off "you know DJ's"

"well I'd be happy to join you guys," Suki says jumping off her seat

the four trolls travel to techno reef, prepared to show Trollex how good a person Barb has become.

"it is so cool how these invisible bubbles make us breathe underwater!" Poppy yelled excitedly 

"yeah, yeah, look there he is!" I yelled "Suki work your DJ magic" Suki swam over to King Trollex who's pulling up corals

"hey, King Trollex!" she greets him with a smile

"Suki!" he smiles back

"what are you up to?" she asks, swimming down to look at the coral he's picking

"Just getting some LED coral to plant around the new reef. hey how are  you down here?" he answers and asks

"invisible breathing bubbles"

"that's so cool, hey," he says "How would you like to get some hot cocoa? you haven't lived till you've tried the ones we techno make!"

"hot cocoa? underwater?" Suki asks confused

"We have these giant air bubbles that we use for eating, they surround all the stores" Trollex explains

"Great let's go!" Suki grabs Trollexs arm and starts pulling him toward the techno-city
