16: you'll be near

remember the times when we walk the fields

skipping on the meadows carefree

when all the shadows of the infields

were not free

i remember you said to be with me forever

even if they burn our houses

but all of it became one with fire

and now we're houseless

the last word you said was to run away

this forest isn't safe for us

running away fast, running, unscathed

you were not safe

i did not shed even a single tear

because you said to me one time

"wherever i am, you'll always be near"

you will shine

today marks the first anniversary

of that grim day in history

the very last day that you said to me

that you'll be near
