As the ice began to melt, Atlas opened his eyes.
The once warm brown was replaced by a deep crimson.
Magic fell from his fingertips, capable of unthinkable destruction.
For millennia, the cold creature searched for the missing part of his frozen hea...
As Atlas walks through Chicago he hears someone slurping loudly, and smells the strong coppery scent of blood, he turns down an alleyway and spots two dead bodies with a girl between them, "wow, you're a messy eater", the girl turns around, her red, newborn eyes glowing under the street light, "oh, you're new".

"Who are you?"
He approaches the dark-skinned girl, "I'm Atlas, and you my young friend will come with me", the girl scatters back, "what's your name?"
"Sasha", she looks into his eyes, calming herself down, "I don't wanna kill anymore", the answer makes Atlas smile.
"I know a family. They feed off animal blood", he holds a hand out to the girl, "you won't have to kill anyone, ever again", she smiles taking his hand, "now, it's your decision. We can go straight to the family, or I can help you before we go there"
Sasha takes a second to think, "I want to wait before going there. Learn some control", Atlas nods, taking the girl away from the dead bodies.
For the next 15 years Atlas would help the girl adapt to the new diet, not going 'vegetarian' himself, before taking her to the Cullens.

At the Cullen residence, Alice gasps, the family turning to her, they watch a wide smile stretch across her face, Edward also smiling at her vision, "my mate... she's on her way", the family smile, congratulating her, they fall silent as she's pulled into another vision.
Edward laughs, looking to Jasper who sits in the corner, "it's not only her mate thats on the way", this makes the blonde look up, seeing the smirk on Edwards face, the rest of the family look confused, "good luck, Jasper"
Emmett looks between Alice and Edward, "why does he need luck?"
"Because his mate is fierce", Alice laughs at the words, the pixie girl smiling at her blonde friend.
"you'll see when he gets here", the two laugh between themselves, leaving the family guessing.

Sasha walks beside Atlas, wringing her hands at the upcoming meeting, "what if they don't?"
He holds her shoulders, "trust me, they will", the Cullen house comes into view, "you've already met the Denalis and they loved you, and just remember that they're only a short run away", they then walk to the large door, Sasha brushing her clothes down.
