The sound stops

"Mari get up we have school," mia says poking my side. Why she no lowe mi mon afta weh she do mi last night

I groaned rolling over putting the pillow over my face

I go to CB (calabar) she goes immaculate it's not far from each other if you look at it.

"Let's go," she says getting out of the sheets dragging me by my hair

"Aye watch it no mon". Getting up I looked at her what's her problem?

I yawn stretching

"Ew yuh breath stink dawg go brush yuh teeth," mia says covering her nose.

"Watch how mah go kiss yuh,!" I say teasingly

"No," she shouted going into the bathroom closing it.

"Just wait till yuh come out mon," I say laughing

"Hmmm," she says behind the closed door

Minutes after mia came out I went in to brush my teeth and did my hygiene.

Since I was little I'm always at her house so her parents made a spare room for me with everything I needed I was basically their child

Walking into the kitchen in my uniform that mia pressed earlier when I went to take a shower.

"Good morning," I said taking a seat at the table everyone was seated.

"Morning baby your breakfast cover up unda di blue plate," miss p stated standing over the stove.

"Wait when you reach here,?" Mr h said scrunching up his face in surprise or angry idk.

"Daniel mek di pickney dem eat dem breakfast and go skl don't start," miss p said turning to him pointing the spatula.

"Hmm," he says minding business.

This whole time mia's face showed surprise.

"Wait how yuh know him deh here?," Mia asked.

"Yuh feel mhii born yesterday n mhii no sleep dead like yuh fada" miss p answered smiling.

"Last night when yuh push out yuh big head and look both ways like yah cross one road yuh neva look Infront yuh?," She said laughing.

Mia and I joined into her laughter

"Alright time for school kids" she said.

11:30 pm lunch time

I take up my things heading to my car to buy lunch at my favorite restaurant tracks and records.

The food is amazing.

Driving to there I end up in traffic.

Ugh I hate traffic it makes no sense just drive mmctt.

30 minutes later ordering my lunch n getting back to my car one idiot weh no use him mirror nearly lick mi dung.

Standing in my spot n the car at my foot the driver got out.

"Yuh no see di car a come likkle girl,!" He said angrily.

"Sir, yuh neva see mi a walk fi stop di car,?" I asked back with the same tone.

"Yuh kno wah mek me just gwaan eno...next time watch weh yah go", he says getting back into the car

I hissed my teeth walking to my car

Parking in my spot I got out went to my class and ate my lunch while scrolling through TikTok laughing at the memes passing a video about a Wattpad book called beauty and the Jamaican don noted to go read it after school I come off TikTok.

Just then the bell rang.

**After School**

Parking in the transport center I waited on Mari n his friends with my two friends Stephanie n Sam.

"So Sam wahm to ur ute,?"
Steph ask turning to her.

"Yeah yuh just stop tlk bout him so," I added wanting to know what happened.

Steph standing there smiling n looking at the ground like a idiot.

While Sam nudge me n point pon har.

"Mhii seet mn", I said with my eyes

While Mari grabbed my hands.

"Watch couple goals," we heard.

Sam n jt said while everyone made a side comment.

"Tap unuh noise and lowe we alone" I said smiling.

While Mari did nothing but smile.

***At Circle K***

It was kinda full

"Weh unuh a buy,?" I asked.

"One Hershey shake," says Sam

"Same," says jj

"Me want one blue and pink slushie," jt says with his head into his phone.

"Mari weh you want,?" I ask

"Anything you a get me a get," he responded walking to the snacks stand

"Alright and you Steph?," I asked turning to her.

"Ummm I'll have what jj is having," she said lowly almost whispering.

"Watch yasso," said sam rolling her eyes.

"Don't," I say knowing exactly what is about to happen.

Alright going to order n getting the drinks giving everyone what they ordered the door opened n came the devil from earlier.
