Narrator:

It was heard how in the silence of an office a portal was opened, two figures came out of it. In that room there was only a small light that was placed on the desk, where a skeleton with glasses sat, concentrating on some papers until noticing the presence of the two individuals.

"Who's there?" he asked placing his hands on the desk to get up slowly and take the first thing he found in his hands.

A tentacle emerged from the darkness taking that skeleton by the neck slowly lifting it from the ground and slamming him against the wall.

"I don't have time to listen to your nonsense Science, I need you to take care of my subordinate immediately" Nightmare demanded revealing his figure with Killer in his arms.

Science's neck was slowly released to let him speak, falling to his knees on the floor and coughing as he tried to catch his breath.

Science got up shakily as he almost completely recovered, turning his gaze to the Prince of Nightmares and then to the injured skeleton in his arms.

"Y-you can l-leave him on the *cough* s-stretcher over there" Sciense replied pointing to a small gurney in the corner near the entrance.

Nightmare went to the indicated place placing Killer's body softly and slowly on the stretcher and then walking slowly away, he stopped when he saw how a reddish liquid trickled down the killer's legs.

"B-blood?" He whispered in a trembling and shocked voice.

Science could see Nightmare's shocked face leaving his fear behind and pushing Nightmare to one side of the room to more clearly check on his patient's condition.

He looked carefully at the assassin's wounds, then used his magic to check his condition directly, stopping in his tracks.

"Get out of here" Science said turning his back on Nightmare.

"B-but" Nightmare tried to refute, he
being interrupted.

"GET OUT!" exclaimed the scientist with a hint of concern and anger in his voice.

The nightmare was going to open his mouth to speak but he stopped when he saw the expression of pain coming from the skeleton lying on the stretcher, he took a little air to calm down and after this he teleported out of the place.

Nightmare was outside the lab with a lost look, he could understand that Killer's condition was not good at all just by looking at his face knowing that it was partly his fault.

He felt horrible, he wanted to run away and lock himself in his castle to blame himself for his bad leadership, Killer was more than just a subordinate for him, he considered each member of his team as his family and if one of them died because of him, he will never forgive himself.

The existential crisis of the prince of nightmares was interrupted by the sound of a glitched portal that opened out of nowhere, from which six skeletons emerged in row who were Dust, Horror, Cross, Red, Razz and finally Error closing the portal when passing.

The six skeletons approached Nightmare to find out about the situation, learning how bad their partner was.

"I would like to go to Ink right now and slowly torture him with my ax" Horror spoke, drawing the attention of his companions.

"I follow you" added Dust with a cold tone and shine in his pupils summoning his knife.

"You better not do something stupid, you know very well that Ink's attack only slightly pierced Killer's arm" Cross refuted, fed up with the childish attitude of his two teammates.

"Blame it on our Boss for sending someone sick on a mission" Razz said without a hint of awareness of what he was saying.

Silence reigned in the conversation waiting for the angry reaction of the gang leader, something that never came.

They all looked at Nightmare with concern, his silence could only send a shiver down their spine, at the thought that he was very angry.

Contrary to what they thought, Nightmare wasn't angry, in fact he stopped paying attention to what they were saying in the middle of the conversation immersing himself in his own thoughts.

Meanwhile Science was trying to assimilate what it had found in the results of Killer's analysis, he had cleaned his glasses more than six times to check that his eyesight was not deceiving him.

"Killer know about this?" He wondered to himself not fully understanding what was happening or the story behind it.

After making sure the results were correct a few more times, he continued to speak to the members of the bad sanses who were waiting outside.

The bad guys directed their gaze to the door that was open nearby, seeing how the scientist approached them, drawing Nightmare's attention.

"So? How is he?" Nightmare asked bluntly trying to have a neutral expression to hide his concern.

Everyone was nervously waiting for Science's response, who had been silent for a few minutes.

"Right now I can't tell many details bu-"

"Why?" Dust interrupted angrily.

Science had no choice but to heave a weary sigh to continue speaking.

"As I was saying, I can't tell you many details but I assure you that Killer will improve, as a rule I first talk to the patient to make sure they are comfortable telling someone else"

The bad guys looked at each other wondering whether to say something else or not.

"I-is it that bad?" asked Horror almost about to shed a tear, he felt guilty for not having protected him, all for thinking that Killer could protect himself.

Silence reigned for a few seconds, Dust's sockets were beginning to blur from the tears that wanted to come out, the scientist's silence was killing him inside.

Science looked at the lab putting on a pity face "It's up to Killer to decide if it's something good or bad for his life" he returned his gaze to those present "I hope you can support him" he finished.

The confusion in the environment was noticeable, none of those present except for Science knew the true meaning of those words, Horror and Dust were calmer but Nightmare had not uttered a single word again.

The scientist re-entered the lab closing the door behind him and placing magic in the room so that his and Killer's future conversation couldn't leak out, he had several questions which he hoped to get an answer to.
