The Covenant

After Azreous exited the room Durar started to plan where the libririum will go but then he heard the alarms go off and he looked out the window to see three Covenant ships approaching the ring.

Durar comes running out of the map room to see his battle-brother running to the defenses of the fortress monastery

"Whats the situation?" Durar asked his battle-brother

"It's the Covenant company master." Said the battle-brother

As Durar gets out of the fortress monastery he sees a very big force of Covenant troops

"So this is the Covenant." Durar said drawing his power sword

As Durar said that Neriel stand beside him readying his bolter

"Is that the Covenant they don't look strong." Neriel said aming his bolter at them

"Yes that is them." Durar said

As durar said that a needle dart went right past his head

"So this is all that the Covenant's got." Neriel said

"Yes it seem so." Said Durar

As the Covenant started there attack many of the dark angels had already shot at the Covenant troops and killed many of their forces and as the Covenant troops tried to get closer the defenses of the fortress monastery were not letting them get close but a small force of the Covenant troops made it to the wall and Durar saw that and made his way to the gate.

"It seems that the Covenant are bigger in numbers then we thought." Durar said to Neriel as they walked to the gate

"Yes indeed." Neriel said readying his bolter

"It looks like the fight will be long." Said Durar as they waited for the gate to open

"Yes it might but it will get us much needed info on the Covenant's strategy of fighting." Neriel said

"Yes, now let's find out how they fight." Said Durar readying his power sword

As the gate opens Durar and Neriel step out and see multiple Covenant troops heading their way, Durar and Neriel got ready for battle and charged at them. As they charged they were shooting their bolters and killing the Covenant troops one by one.

"This is not what I expected." Said Neriel

"Did you expect it to be hard." Durar said cutting an elite in half

"Yes but this Covenant is not very strong I thought they would be stronger." Said Neriel walking over to Durar

"They also might be the grunts of the army." Durar suggested

"Yes maybe." Said Neriel punching a grunt

As the fighting grew more and more Covenant troops began to retreat and as they were retreating they were being shot in the back by the dark angels snipers. Durar and Neriel were finishing the stragglers when an elite in pure white armor attacks Durar and they begin to fight.

"This one looks strong." Neriel said watching the fight

"It seems so." Durar said as he locks sword with the elite

"Do you have this one?" Asked Neriel readying his bolter

"No I've got this one." Durar said as he pushes the elite away and cuts it in half

"Okay let's go they can not escape from here their ships are destroyed." As Durar said that Neriel looked up to see the Covenant ships destroyed and floating lifeless in space

"If their are any survivors I need to eat a piece of there brain to understand there language." Neriel said walking next to Durar

"Okay you will get your prisoner." Durar said as they walked to the fortress monastery
