Would they pick you in a crowded room?
Let's turn that question around
If you had to pick someone in their bloom
Would you pick yourself from a big crowd?Well my eyes are brown, they dont stand out
And they have lost their spark
I'd rather pick someone with eyes that dont doubt
With a gaze that is less darkMy lips they look fine, nothing more, nothing less
But they hold back things I wish I could say
I'd rather pick someone with lips that express
All the things they thought todayMy hands are empty and often cold
With red painted nails, I try not to bite
I'd rather pick someone with hands that can hold
Someones love in a way that feels rightSo no, I dont think I would pick myself from that room
Knowing all the things that I lack
I'd rather pick someone not standing in their gloom
Someone without the feeling they will crack
